It’s my third week of trying out #Lunar Feb. I miss the pinks and reds of Valentine’s Day, but the only thing I love about Valentine’s Day is nail art. Both the nail art that other people have created and the nail art that I have created are really fun, and I think they are all very cute. This year, we’re also enjoying all the dragon-themed products the brand has released, including Lego, the “Auspicious Dragon” and Coach’s dragon-embroidered clothes and bags. And Fendi is Pokemon themed! I’m dying here, but I can’t justify spending $4000 on a bag I know I won’t actually use, so I have to admire it from afar.
Back when Beauteque was still doing subscription boxes, I received a few masks from a Korean brand. Botanical garden And I’ll admit that I didn’t even bother looking at these masks after opening the box because they weren’t as interesting as the other masks I had on hand. After sorting out my sheet masks last summer and going through the ones Beauuteque had sent me over the years until they disappeared (they were very generous), I found these 3 masks that he thought would fit together. I thought it would be appropriate to review it. The zen-like and meditative packaging is appealing, perhaps because we are in a calmer age now that we are in our 40s.
Tea tree mask*
What’s special about this mask? This mask contains tea tree extract that soothes while refreshing the skin. I’ve always loved the scent of tea tree oil, so I’m not looking for a clarifying mask with tea tree extract, but I enjoy it anyway because of its aromatherapeutic properties.
I only took a photo of one mask because they all fit equally beautifully and seamlessly. The mask material is made of natural cellulose and is described as having a 10-20 micron thick “microporous layer” that allows the essence to be absorbed into the skin. All three masks fit very well, and looking at the photos, they blend perfectly against the skin. That’s great for a mask that cost $1 each!
Mask overview:
price: I think these were around $1, so considering the quality they are very affordable.
function: calm and clarify the mind
scent: It’s a bit like tea tree, and my husband says, “It’s like a teenage acne pill, but in a good way.”
Essence type: It is transparent and slightly viscous, but has a watery feel.
interval: 25 minutes
thickness: thin – almost translucent
Mask fit: good! There were a few wrinkles that I couldn’t smooth out, but other than that, the mask fit my skin well.
Stickiness: There is nothing!
Hydration: Yes, but I felt that my normal/dry skin needed more hydration.
Other notes: Not applicable
What’s special about this mask? This mask is infused with moisturizing and soothing aloe, as well as grapefruit extract, white tea extract, and hyaluronic acid. The bottom half of the ingredient list also includes botanical extracts such as ginkgo biloba, peach, and honeysuckle extract. Even though alcohol is at the top of the list, this mask was not drying at all.

Rice mask*
What’s special about this mask? Rice (lol)! Rice brightens and refreshes the skin. I have always loved including rice in my skincare routine because my skin responds well to it. This was also the most moisturizing mask of the group.
Mask overview:
price: I think these were around $1, so considering the quality they are very affordable.
function: brightening
scent: Something like a floral pattern
Essence type: It is transparent and slightly viscous, but has a watery feel.
interval: 25 minutes
thickness: thin – almost translucent
Mask fit: good! There were a few wrinkles that I couldn’t smooth out, but other than that, the mask fit my skin well.
Stickiness: It was light and it was a very dry night so I used a little moisturizer on top.
Hydration: It’s pretty good on its own, but it needed an extra boost.
Other notes: Not applicable
Final verdict: Once again, I reviewed a mask that I love that I can’t seem to find anymore. Why do sheet mask companies disappear in about two years? The value of these masks is great, and the fit and results were perfect for my expectations in that they’re non-greasy and can be layered with my existing skin care. Luckily, there are other sheet masks that make me happy, but they certainly aren’t $1.
Sadly, I don’t know where to find these, if at all… Come back, Botanic Farm, come back!
