I had the pleasure of getting a sample of the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Velvet Collection from Anastasia Soare herself during a dinner in London last week. She even shared her favorite shades. We will introduce more details about this new matte lip color with her photos and swatches.

How to apply lip velvet
This formula is very easy to apply and fills in quickly thanks to the shape of the applicator that perfectly fits the lip line.
The brand recommends using the tip of a wand to trace around Cupid’s bow and draw a line along the outer edge of your lips. Next, use a flat surface to apply color to your lips.

my review
I first tried Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Velvet at a brand launch dinner, and I applied it in pretty dim light, so I couldn’t really see what I was doing. The wand makes application super easy as you can use the point on your lip lines before swiping all over your lips for full coverage.
I checked it in a better light and it looked good, so this lip velvet is actually not difficult to work with.
I chose the shade Kiss which is an Anastasia nude and it is such a pretty shade.
The texture of Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Velvet is really nice. It feels soft, smooth and bouncy and adds color to your lips. It’s a long-wearing matte formula but has some movement and glide and doesn’t leave your lips feeling dry or dry.
For best results, you need to make sure there are no dry or flaky patches on your lips, so we recommend a quick scrub and a very thin layer of non-glossy lip balm in preparation. Masu. Check out our post on the best lip balms for dry lips.
Having said that, the Lip Velvet finish, even if a little dry, is very good at smoothing out any texture and blurring imperfections. It’s quite impressive.
It lasts well on the lips, and you do need to reapply it after meals, but it’s not a problem because it’s supple and moisturizing, and can be layered well.
There’s a nude here for everyone, and I’m looking forward to trying out some of the others. I also really like the look of Pure Hollywood and Crush. Parchment paper is perfect for fair skin tones like mine to create that authentic 90’s vibe.
