Questions to ask clients before treatment

While it’s fun to tackle the product head-on with a client, it’s important to answer “no” to these questions before proceeding. If you encounter a positive reaction, another facial may be a better option. We recommend Yam and Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5%.

  • Are you currently using retinol?
  • Have you had a chemical peel in the past two weeks?
  • Have you recently shaved the treatment area within the last 2 hours?
  • Are you under the care of a dermatologist/plastic surgeon and have an at-home “peel” treatment?
  • Do you have sunburn or windburn?
  • Do you have or get cold sores?
  • Do you have active acne?

Once you are sure that none of your pre-treatment concerns apply, you are ready to begin the first important step: cleansing.

Step-by-step Arctic Berry Peel and Peptide Facial Protocol

1.Purification

Start by cleansing with Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser. This cleaning step provides a peel with maximum penetration. For all skin types, you can also cleanse with Stone Crop Gel Wash or Lemon Cleanser. These are a good choice for non-buffering peel applications.

2. Tone

Apply Mangosteen Revitalizing Mist or Lime Refreshing Tonique and leave it on.

3.Exfoliation

We recommend a preliminary patch test before general application. Clean the skin behind your ear, apply the product, and leave it on for 1 to 3 minutes. Neutralize with a soothing chamomile tonic. If no unnatural reactions occur, apply the product as directed. Limit the frequency or duration of skin contact with the product.

Before exfoliation, pre-treatment of the skin is necessary. As a degreasing step, apply a suitable VitaSkin™ exfoliating peel. Apply in a circular motion over your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. We recommend using damp cotton rounds to protect your eyes and applying a thick eye cream or moisturizer around sensitive areas to form a barrier. Always keep a bottle of eyewash on hand in case acid splashes in your eyes. Do not wash it off as there is no need to neutralize it. If it gets into your eyes, rinse gently and thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
