How she feels about her daughter being naked on screen:
“[As they embarked on their acting careers] I told them, you should take your clothes off, but do it for the right reasons. It must be for the character’s purpose. Margaret has been dancing since she was a child, so she is really comfortable in her body. And my daughter is very brave. We talked a lot and they knew me [own] The struggle, my thoughts and feelings, and my vulnerability. And my daughters let me flow things back I told them [in moments when] I ruined it and said something wrong about myself. They have this strong sense of themselves and a perception of their values. ”
When she feels personally worth it (spoiler alert: 99% of the time):
“Iron was at the forefront of advertising feminism and had a perspective on how women view themselves. You can see it in the original commercial. A male advertiser took the slogan and told the male actor, “Because she’s worth it.” [Ed note: Ilon insisted the slogan subsequently be changed to “Because I’m worth it.”]
I saw a movie with a friend yesterday so we talked about it and agreed that some ideas could bounce back against each other and that the idea was still in the air. But that’s not me. Certainly, impulse [to be looked at] There are, but 99% of my time is for me. And that’s the purpose of that catchphrase.
And for me, what resonated with Iron’s story was that she was a woman before her time. I hope it radiates too. I feel like I’m ahead of my time. I’m bold, I want to get out of the box and say a little things. ”
When she gets a big job… While carrying secrets:
“I remember the day L’Oréal hired me 40 years ago six weeks before I was pregnant. I was about six weeks pregnant and was terrifying. Getting such a contract was a big deal. And I think I was pregnant. Course!”
