Tobi Henney is model Barbara Palvin’s longtime makeup artist. She writes ITG from Cannes, where she teamed up with Barbara again for a few film premieres. Here, she walks us through Barbara’s look from last night, which featured not one, not two, but three (!!) sticks of lipstick. We’ll leave it to Tobi to tell us all about it.

I was recently in Cannes with Barbara Palvin. We’ve worked together for the last seven years, and I flew out this week to get her ready for a few events, including a film premiere yesterday. I created a red carpet look centered around a very vampire-like, gradient glossy lip that Barbara loved seeing, so I gave her very clean, fair skin with very light contouring to make the lips glow.
I started off with a face massage to sculpt my cheekbones and jawline. I always get an ice bucket at my hotel and keep my face roller in there until I’m ready to use it. Futurewise Slug Boost Hydrating Mist and Slug CreamCombined, these create a beautiful, plump base that also glides onto a face roller. Leave on for a few minutes so your skin isn’t too wet to apply foundation.
I like to use a glossy primer under my foundation to create a shimmery effect on my skin. I use a mixture of various things. Saie’s Glow Super Gel in Starglow It looks so beautiful on Barbara’s skin tone. I buffed it on the high points of her face. I love it too. Westman Atelier Liquid Super Loaded Illuminator in Peau de Rosé and chanel glow stick in sculpture. Then I chanel bronzing cream To warm her skin.

Barbara doesn’t need much help as it looks great with nothing on her face, but I love using it to brighten under eyes.I don’t really like baking, but I love using either to make it last longer pat mcgrath under eye powder or Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Powder.

Once the skin had set, I drew on the eyebrows. Barbara has great eyebrows, so she kept it very simple. hourglass eyebrow pencil And clear MAC Brow Gel On top of them. Then I curled her eyelashes. What I always use is Tweezersman ProCurl Eyelash Curler. For her eyelids, I actually used the Westman Atelier Contour Stick to create the shape I wanted. This is a good product that can be used for multiple purposes.From there, I entered Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Sartory Eyeshadow PaletteUse the matte shadow on the top right all over her eye to bring it out, then Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill MascaraI filled in the eyelash line. MAC Fluidline Gel Eyeliner I drew it using a small brush.And then go one step further Denmark’s Dark Swan Secret 03 Feather EyelashesThey are the best and have a kind of expansion effect.
During all of this, Barbara aquafer Apply to lips to prime the key areas of your look. anastasia beverly hills lip liner in maltDark chocolate brown. Three types ABH lipstick color.
