Founded by Ximena Gallegos, Just Ximena is a cruelty-free, Latin-inspired beauty brand that I had never heard of before (hence why I prefer Ipsy bags and top boxes) (This is because there are different types of brands.) Their featured product is a 2g deluxe size (this feels like a full his size to me!) of ‘Sparkling Champagne’ aimed at giving you a ‘Miami glow’ all year round! It’s a powder highlighter. If you look at the swatch below, you can see that there is a fair amount of pigmentation and the texture is very soft and smooth. I use it to highlight my cupid’s bow, under my eyebrows, and the tip of my nose, and I love it because a little goes a long way.

I doubt you can buy this size alone, but on the company’s website, the highlighter sells for $28 CDN in a four-shade palette.

The website doesn’t show the gram weight, but my guess is that this highlighter is Worth about $7 CDN.

Another brand I’ve never heard of! kiss & smink It’s all about simplicity in makeup, and April’s Glam Bag included Lip Aura lip oil, which provides a hint of color in a smooth, non-greasy formula. I actually wore this all day because it felt so comfortable and luxurious on my lips and smelled like candy.

The shade I received was a natural pink “peony” and was a full size. It sells for a whopping $31 on CDN.

Well, I have heard of this brand many years ago thanks to seeing this brand in my previous beauty box. I didn’t think much about this body moisturizer because I wasn’t very interested in it, but after using it, I was amazed at how effective it was. It smelled good! It has a slight citrus scent and is quite hydrating without being sticky. It would actually make a great hand cream. The full size of this body cream is 147mL and is priced at $65 USD. The value of this 20mL sample is $8.84 USD..

The international flat rate shipping on the Goldfaden MD website is $39.95 USD, so I don’t think I’ll be purchasing this moisturizer any time soon, but that’s a bit of a shame because it was honestly a pretty pleasant surprise.

Elizabeth Mott As I mentioned in my previous Beauty Box review, it’s been a while since I’ve used products from this Korean beauty-inspired brand, as the brand isn’t easily available in Canada. This cleanser smells so good! Like orange, I know it’s not always great when it comes to vitamin C products, but since this is a cleanser, I just rinse it off right away and it’s so nice to have that nice cleanser smell. This had a gel-like consistency and was not drying at all. I really want the full size of this! This 15mL deluxe size retails for approximately $1.70 USD..

I think I’m the only person on the planet who hasn’t tried this yet, but thanks to that I’ve got a full-size introduction to the topic and can really enjoy this month’s Glam Bag. I think so. I haven’t tried the original solid putty primer, so I can’t say if the liquid version is better, but from just using this for the past few days, I really like it. It has a moisturizer-like texture and the drydown feels silky, but not like silicone. The finish it leaves on the skin is smooth and is the perfect canvas for both pressed powder and liquid foundation. I received the full size on CDN for $14.
