[unpaid/sample] You can imagine how happy I was to see the sequin detail back. The original Chanel Lumiere Dalfils palette from 2007 is one of my treasured ones in my collection of old beauty items. The new version, the Duo Lumière Limited Edition, brings back the sequin details that have long been part of Chanel fashion. I’ve always said that no one references tradition like Chanel, and my recent visit to the Chanel exhibition at the V&A proves that. museum. Interspersed are several photos of dresses from the decades that celebrate sequins and metallics.
The palette is two-tone and divided into champagne and light gold colors. What makes this sequin detail different is that the Chanel emblem is revealed as delicately as the individual sequins.
I can’t date this because I blame myself for not taking snaps of the accompanying details, but what I can say is that with few exceptions, all of my clothes (I have hundreds of them) That means it’s as easy to wear today as it was 10 years ago when it was made. Quite remarkable.
As you can see, it comes with an included brush and a brush that you can actually use to apply Duo Lumiere Limited Edition. This is really versatile. You can also add some shimmer to your cheeks, decorette, eyelids, eyebrows, etc. (by running the brush over the palette very lightly and then blending it all over your forehead) if you feel like using a little bit. To be honest, I’m still at the wait-and-see stage.
