of 2023 Holiday Collection from chanel It has arrived and it’s really great. I looked forward to Chanel’s holiday launch every year because they always go the extra mile to create something special and unique. This collection features lots of bold red on the lips and a smoky eye. There’s also a compact highlighter, three new nail colors, and some neutral lip options. Here’s what I tested at this year’s holiday launch.
Duo Lumiere Illuminating Powder Duo
Chanel’s highlighters are especially impressive with their beautiful embossed patterns. This year they Duo Lumiere Illuminating Powder Duo ($70). Sparkling pink champagne and crystal white. The glitter and shine is a little chunkier than the Chanel ones we are used to, but it is beautiful and the glitter looks like what I think fairy dust would look like if it existed. Masu.
I think the colors are similar tom ford mood light However, the texture and color chanel duo By comparison, Tom Ford is more modern, dimensional, and offers a more cloudy shine.
Since it has a glittery side, it falls off the brush when you apply it, but when you put it on your cheeks, it adheres well and has very good color payoff and coverage.
Take a look while wearing:
Lumiere graphic eyeshadow palette
Chanel has released products for the eyes, 5 pan eyeshadow palette And I’m a big fan of this style. I wish Chanel would release more palettes like this! Lumiere graphic eyeshadow palette ($88) has a beautiful sequin print on the surface. All the shades are shiny and one of them is a shimmery glitter top coat shade. The texture is soft and the pigment is easy to apply and layer.
The overall tone leans towards smoky and cool. He has one shade of peach and I think it looks more peach/gold on fair skin tones. On my medium tank skin (Chanel B40) it brings out more champagne. The shimmers are on the glittery side, so she kicks up a lot of powder with an eyeshadow brush. However, it never fell on her cheeks, except when she applied a little bit of it with a sparkly white topper.
It’s an attractive shade that’s perfect for a holiday smoky eye. I love the combination of taupe, peach, and olive gold, which is different from the standard grey/black/silver smoky eye palette. It’s a cool tone that I’m used to wearing these days, but I think it’s beautiful.
Holiday Le Vernis
There are three le vernis long wear nail color This season ($32 each). Perfect for the holiday smoky glam theme. 167 White Silk It’s a sheer creamy white (it takes three coats for full coverage, but it’s worth the extra effort and drying time). 169 Tuxedo A beautifully sparkling brass-like gold. I like that it has a very metallic texture and doesn’t show any brush marks, and it goes on very smoothly with two coats. 171 sequins It is a soft black color with a very fine silvery white shine throughout. This is also shown in two coats.
holiday lips
It looks like Chanel Beauty had the holiday party theme in mind when creating this season’s lip colors. They re-advertised some shades Rouge Allure Rextraite I think this is one of the best formulas out there. It’s slim and small, but the formula is creamy, smooth, moisturizing, and pigmented. 812 Beige Brut My perfect everyday beige neutral (re-promotion), 854 Rouge Puissant Electric Bold Red (re-promotion), 857 Midnight Red This is a new product with a metallic finish, but it is a deeper red metallic.
beige brut
midnight red
they have two new ones Rouge Allure Raku This season’s colors. Contains one 90 golden beige ($45) A very metallic gold shimmer. For me, this is perfect as a topper over a neutral lipstick. On its own, it’s a little too cold. I think the color undertones are beautiful. I would love to see this as a gloss, eyeshadow, highlighter, or blush color.
That’s all chanel holiday 2023 review. I think everything is beautiful. The standout for me is the Duo Lumiere Illuminating Powder Duo. I already own Rouge Allure L’Extrait in 812 Beige Brut and love it so much that I already have it in his second tube (it’s refillable). I rarely wear red lipstick, but I think midnight red is beautiful.
As for nail color, I think white silk is an off-white shade that suits you very well. It takes a little more effort to layer, but I think the undertone is perfect. It’s cream colored but not yellow. Tuxedos are beautiful. Sequins is a shade that I think I’ve seen in many different lines before, but I love how it gives the nails a subtle way of looking and sparkling.
