Chanel has launched five new shades of liquid lipstick Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue ($50 each). I’m not a fan of liquid lipstick formulas as I usually tend to look very dry to me, but this one has a nice shiny, clear topcoat to seal one end and add a beautiful shine.
I picked up three of the five shades and I think all three are really pretty.
186 pink nude Soft neutral pink
_____
188 Caramel Beige It’s a beige brown neutral
_____
192 Coral Pink It’s a coral pink, this is lightly painted on my lips with a dry down compared to what I saw in the tube
_____
It is recommended to use these to apply a thin, uniform coat first and dry. If too much on the lips, dry out, the product will crack/dry slightly. I’ll set it up a bit and then add a top coat. For me, a top coat is essential. Otherwise, the liquid lipstick below will be a little sticky and sticky. The gloss adds a lovely smooth shine to the look.
I’ve seen some comparisons below, many of my favorites have been deprecated. It appears they released Shade Intense Nude 194 with this new launch, so I included the numbers for them, which is different from the intense nude 152 from a few years ago. These look dry on sample but we can guarantee that the topcoat makes all the difference!
Pink neutrals can be difficult to pull with cool undertones, but this is perfect. Overall love for longwear liquid lips. I still prefer traditional lipstick and glossy forms, but in terms of liquid lip formulas, these are my favorites.
Available at chanel.com. I bought it from a boutique.
