[unpaid/samples/affiliate/ad] I have never kicked myself more than when I took off the lid of a lipstick without realizing that the product name was on the lid and not on the stick. So even if you take a photo of the shades, you won’t know which is which when you put them back together. Luckily, the last time I did this, I got some very solid advice from a reader: find the name on the side of the bullet. I pulled the refill out of the cap and there it was! So, if that’s you, thanks again!

Rouge Allure Liquid Lip is not the issue here. They are easy to tell apart as one is a beige golden beige and the other is a burgundy spicy prune.

This is a golden beige that I applied on my lips. I love the slight variation of pink peach, which gives it a subtle yet unexpectedly appealing look. The texture is different from regular lipstick. It will feel a little cold when you touch your lips, but you need to give it time to “set”. Incredibly lightweight and non-drying. In fact, it makes your lips even softer.

Fancy prunes are very dramatic. The metallic sheen is attractive so I can definitely wear it for short periods of time, but I think all other makeup around it needs to be softened. These photos were taken at the same time as the Chanel Eye Hers palette, but if I had the time again, I would definitely let the Liquid Hers lip take center stage. Both shades here 37 pounds per piece.

These guys are the culprits! Chanel Rouge Allure L’Extra (all refillable by the way).

Chanel Rouge Allure Les Extrites

This is a Roaring Purple with brown notes and I really like it. However, it doesn’t seem to apply very well.

And an even worse application of Midnight Red. It has a bit of a metallic element to it, so it’s even more vampy. These days I have to remember to wear glasses to apply lipstick. I love the scent of this lipstick. It’s a slightly sweet, slightly waxy, and slightly fragrant scent that I feel a lipstick should have. It’s not overpowering at all, but it’s just there and reminds me of my mom’s lipsticks when I was little.

This is a beige brut. I think it’s a nude/neutral shade that’s easy to wear and looks great on the eyes. I just realized I haven’t posted about the palette yet, so I’ll fix that this week or next. The color of Chanel’s “Rouge Allure L’Extra” is here £46 (but quick tip, Sephora has all the shades of Roaring Purple and Midnight Red in the L’Extrait bar, £36 at the time of writing) here).
