I saw this Zendaya meme on Instagram the other day and wow, it spoke to my soul!
I’m 99% sure that my work Luke is equivalent to the photo on the right. The funny thing is, when I step away from the bathroom mirror in the morning, everything seems fine. You’re going about your day, and after a while you catch a glimpse of yourself in the harsh overhead lighting while you’re at work, and you think to yourself, “I don’t care. what happened? ” lol!
Anyway, the weather has been rough for the past week. It’s like I forgot what real spring feels like. It’s been years since I’ve had it here in Northern California. Nothing happens there for a while, and then winter changes to warmer weather in the blink of an eye. As a side note, hello global warming. However, the past few days have reminded me of the spring mood I felt when I was a child. Between balmy temperatures around 70 degrees and cold, wet, rainy days, it was a shock to my body and wardrobe.
Now that I’m in my 40s, I’ve come to love spring even more. I love seeing everything come to life. It reminds us that there is always time to bloom again. There’s something about the idea of innovation and reinvention that speaks to me more than ever.
As for reinvention, I’ve been listening to Beyonce’s new album “Cowboy Carter” nonstop. I love how Beyoncé blends different musical genres. I especially love the harmonies and layered vocals. My favorite songs so far are “Blackbird,” “II Most Wanted,” and “Protector.”
Have you heard any of her new music? Give it a try if you get a chance. I think you’ll probably like it.
Have a wonderful Saturday and peaceful weekend!
