My review
For me, this is really great make-up, weekends, and I work from a home type foundation. It’s light and thin, feels like skin care and gives your skin a nice glow.
It’s really easy to wear and apply. If you like something that offers something that shines a little, then you’ll really like it if you can build a little. The feel and finish reflects one of my favorite foundations, NARS light, but with a bit less coverage and longwear, I use the SPF 50 instead, reminding me (full on the swatch Click here for a review).
If I’m out for the whole day, and perhaps at night, I don’t think I’ll get to this, as it’s not the formula for long wear, for me, despite the claims that it’s waterproof and humidity resistant. In this example, my current choice is the perfect foundation for the new Anastasia Beverly Hills. Skip the powder and it gives you a nice radiant finish and is pretty badgeproof. What is the range of shades?
Clinique has released this foundation in 26 flexible shades. It’s best to check out Clinique’s Shade Guide as it doesn’t correlate with other shades in the Clinique collection here.
There is a Light Cool 3 and a Light Medium Cool 1, and you can wear both, but you can prefer the former.
What type of skin do you prefer?
This base is designed to suit dry combinations, oily skins, but I think it is especially suitable for dry skin types.
If you have oil, you should set it using powder and touch up during the day.
Do I need to powder?
I tend to skip powder and I think this foundation is nice without it. But if I was looking for longer wear, I would look to set it up with powder and probably use the finishing mist. You’ll love this without powder dry skin.
Is it easy to apply?
This is a really easy foundation to apply. It continues with nice light and thin layers and feels like skincare. I use mine Leeson No.1 brush And it blends perfectly.
What is coverage?
The coverage is thin and light, and is very flattering on the skin. It is described as pure and constructable, and I think it is perfect for a truly natural juicy skin look.
What is the finish?
This foundation gives your skin a lovely natural glow. It makes your skin look healthy, hydrated and comfortable.
