my review

Clinique Even Better Light Reflecting Primer Review

I knew I liked this primer the moment I applied it to my skin. It has a light texture that feels like skin care, and it blends smoothly into the skin.

It doesn’t feel heavy, it’s not sticky and it’s very comfortable on the skin. Clinique Even Better Light Reflecting Primer gives your skin an instant, beautiful glow. On minimal makeup days, I think it works as an ultra-light base to add a bit of concealer on top.

I tested it under my foundation as that is its primary use. I chose one of his current favorites, Clé de Paula Diant Fluid Foundation Natural. I love how smooth my skin looks and how long it lasts. However, there are times when I wish it had a little more shine to it.

Underneath my foundation, the Clinique Even Better Light Reflecting Primer perfectly lifts my foundation and gives me that glow that I love.

Here is a photo of Clé de Pau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural without primer for comparison. This is just the foundation (sorry for the slightly outdated photo from when I first wrote this foundation blog post a few years ago).

I think it gives extra lift and shine and is very attractive without being overly reflective. I also found that I could use a little less foundation and still get the perfect beautiful look.

I spent about 6 hours testing it (I was quite late to put my makeup on that day) and the makeup literally stayed freshly applied and seemed to have really healthy looking skin. I almost hate removing makeup when I go to bed.

We plan to test it in a few other locations as well. If anything game-changing needs to be reported, I’ll update it here. I keep it in my makeup bag for now. It seems to be good for refreshing makeup from daytime to night, so I will also try it.

I haven’t tried skincare for a long time, and of course I use a lot of other skincare, but I love the fact that it contains vitamin C and 3 types of HA for whitening and moisturizing. There’s also something called acetylglucosamine, which also targets uneven tones, so if you’re looking for a hybrid product, it contains a good dose of skin care.
