Be sure to include a tag or label explaining what the balm contains and how to use it. I will also list the ingredients included. The ribbon that ties the tag is also cute.

It is not necessary to use both coconut oil and olive oil. You can use one or the other, but I recommend both because the effect (and scent) is much better when used together. Coconut has great healing properties, and olive oil is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids that moisturize the skin. Beeswax is absolutely necessary as it is the ingredient that thickens the oil into a balm.

DIY bath salts:

Bath salts are a super easy gift that can be customized to suit someone’s specific needs. It can be as simple as a jar of Epsom salt and a few drops of essential oil. You can also add ground oatmeal, powdered milk, seaweed, spirulinadried herbs, baking soda, dried citrus peels, dried flowers, etc.

As a base for salting, you can use: epsom salt, dead sea salt or pink himalayan salt. Epsom salt is sold in large, affordable bags at most grocery stores and is just as effective as other, more expensive salts. Epsom salt is the easiest way to make bath salts in bulk. I wrote an entire article about everything you need to know about bath salts. You may also enjoy my mermaid salt bath recipe.

The effects of bath salts are amazing. We’re talking about reducing water retention, relaxation, improving sleep, reducing pain, enhancing skin hydration, promoting wound healing, and increasing blood circulation. Needless to say, encouraging your loved one to practice self-care is a great message of love.

Aromatherapy and salt baths are closely related. It is absolutely necessary to use essential oils in homemade bath salts. Below are some suggestions for customizing your bath salts.

  • Lavender oil-relaxation
  • peppermint oil-Muscle and joint pain
  • eucalyptus oil– Congestion and cold symptoms
  • citrus oil– Strengthens capillaries, tightens skin and reduces intracellular water retention. Promotes circulation and prevents lymphatic accumulation.
  • juniper and rosemary oil– Promote circulation and decongest inactive and sluggish tissues.
  • grapefruit oil– Helps reduce water retention and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

You may also want to consider a DIY foot soak. The good thing about foot soaks is that they require much less soaking and can use smaller jars. Last year, I made a footbath for some of my daughter’s teachers.

homemade candles:

Homemade candles are an easy gift idea. There’s a simple tutorial that explains how to make soy candles and a simple tutorial that explains how to make beeswax candles. For gifts, we recommend using a small container, such as the 4-ounce glass mason jar (Walmart) mentioned above for the DIY balm. A common problem is tunneling, where the wax burns out in the center of the candle and does not reach the sides of the container. This is a common problem, but the smaller the candle, the less this problem will occur.

Fragrance oils are great for soy candles, but you can also use essential oils. Just don’t expect a strong scent. When making beeswax candles (my favorite), I do not recommend using fragrances or oils. Beeswax itself has a faint sweet scent.

What you need to make candles:

used 4 oz glass bottle I use it as a solid cleansing oil for balms and candles and it’s very effective. It’s wide enough to avoid tunnels, easy to buy in bulk on Amazon, and comes with a lid. There are also smooth spaces. 2×2 labels If you want.I also found these Beautiful 4oz tin perfect for candles.

The label may advise users to burn the candle to the side of the container when lighting the candle for the first time. This is important for candle users to know in order to get the most out of their candles.

Festive packaging tips:

  • Tie pine or cedar twigs to the ribbon around the edge of the lid for a nice accent.
  • If you don’t have time or don’t want to make labels, you can make your own gift tags by cutting notecards to the appropriate size and using a hole punch to attach them to the gift. If you would like to create your own labels, please visit here to see some of my labels.
  • I love using brown kraft paper, even if it’s wrinkled. You can use it as wrapping paper, and you can easily add colorful ribbons to make it more colorful.

These are some of my favorite homemade gift ideas. Not only is it perfect for the holiday season, it also makes a special gift for any special occasion, especially Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Making your own homemade gifts is not only a lot of fun, but also an easy way to make your loved one feel special. Adding a personalized touch to each present will not only save you money, but will also show special effort and consideration for each gift recipient. It’s a great way to express yourself and a great creative outlet.

Happy Holidays, Jenny
