Used alone, it can soften and mattify the skin for a filtering effect, or to set and refresh makeup.
my review

I’m a huge fan of Elf Cosmetics Soft Glam Foundation. If you’re looking for an affordable, high-performance soft matte foundation with great coverage, check it out. We have a full blog post with swatches of all the shades: elf Cosmetics Soft Glam Satin Foundation Review and Swatches.
I loved that foundation so I was eager to check out this new release.
Elf Cosmetics Hello Glow Powder Filter is a pressed finishing powder designed to smooth imperfections, blur pores and give skin a soft glow.
Application and formula
The texture of the powder is smooth and finely milled, giving it an almost creamy texture when swiped with your fingertips. I applied it using a small fluffy brush and found that it applied better that way. The compact also includes a velor puff, but I don’t like powder, so I would like to be more careful when applying powder products.
I found this formula to feel very light on the skin and was able to blur out imperfections while keeping my skin bright and not too mattifying. It doesn’t settle into fine lines or accentuate texture, so it’s a win for those who want a glowing finish without shine or shine.
performance
Upon application, this powder sets makeup easily and gently erases shine without looking overtly powdery or matte, which I’m always afraid of. I only tested it on half of my face and found it to be very durable and stay in place where I applied the foundation.

final thoughts
The Elf Cosmetics Hello Glow Powder Filter is a must-try if you’re looking for something super affordable that gently sets your makeup without looking cakey or heavy. If you don’t like powder but find your mascara smudged or your concealer wrinkled, it might be worth a try. I find it really works when I use it around my eyes and on my eyelids. I think they do a really good job, especially considering the price.
