My review of the ELF Pout Kraut Lip Plumping Pen
I think this is another really great new product from Elf Cosmetics. It’s a very easy to use, glossy gloss with a hint of color and I really enjoy the toasted tone.
The formula gives a very refreshing yet non-irritating minty feel to the lips and this lasts for a while on the lips. Beautifully moisturizing, feels comfortable and looks soft and smooth on the lips. At £8, I think it’s a nice duck to some of the more expensive lip pens on the market. If you’re considering the Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm but aren’t sure if spending £35 is justified, try these pens from ELF.
Obviously, ELF’s packaging is more basic and not as appealing as Hourglass’ gorgeous slim pen, which twists up rather than clicks, but the effect on the lips is no different. Both have a minty feel and give a voluminous, glossy finish. I think Hourglass is a little more shiny. ELF Toasted is a great alternative to Hourglass Trace.
