It was cold this morning as I walked to the station wearing a silky short-sleeved midi dress. So, I’m okay with that.I’m an autumn girl, and the last summer we had was just hot a bit too much a bit It’s too late for me. But the dark mornings are creeping in, there’s a bit of a chill in the air, and I’m telling you that jeans, knitwear, and sandals are going to be a hit next week, and I’m not ready for it. Masu.

But before I give you all of my fall content, I thought it might be a good idea to summarize some thoughts about my summer wardrobe. I’m not usually the best dresser for summer. I sweat profusely, panic, and often end up hating the clothes I’m wearing by lunchtime. But something changed this summer.I am about to It went well (And I’m sure it has mostly to do with me Alison Bernstein session!), I actually enjoyed the wardrobe. I found new clothing combinations and new formulas that felt exactly like “me.” So I’ve compiled a list of the items I wear the most. Mainly so that I can refer to it again next summer when the “I hate summer clothes” stress sets in…

bags, jewelry, shoes

I would say this category was the biggest game changer for me. I’ve always kind of hated summer dressers, but I think I haven’t invested properly in shoes and bags. All I needed was a straw bag to change it up from my usual leather bag. But I was able to add the right “finisher” to my outfit and it really made me feel polished. First, Lie Studio Julie drop earrings* And that ellie necklace* – If you weren’t wearing one, you were wearing the other. As for shoes, I feel like I still need to buy one or two next summer. Emme Parsons Bari sandals* The dark color is because I wore them all summer. Then, about the bag, I went through a series of ums and ahs. St Agni woven leather bag*I’m so glad I took the plunge and bought it over the past two summers. Because while it doesn’t scream summer, it’s really the perfect bag in that it has the texture that an outfit sometimes needs. These four items alone were the best investments I made this year.

dresses & skirts

Skirts and dresses are definitely made more My wardrobe has expanded a lot more than usual, but I still wear jeans or denim shorts about 80% of the summer. But what I reached out to was Reformation linen mini dress*More than I expected. It’s easy to wear, and you’ll want to wear it on days when you don’t want to touch your body. Throw on your flip flops and some chunky gold jewelry and you’re ready to go. Another thing I’m mentioning here is that DISSH Silky Midi Skirt* To be honest, these two pieces are both things I would wear every week. On weekdays, I wore it casually with a vest top, and at a garden party, I tucked it in with a linen shirt to dress it up a bit. A truly versatile piece.

Tops & Shirts

This summer was the summer of knit waistcoats for me.The waistcoat was and still is. wherever, but I don’t feel like the tailored version quite fits my style vibe. But what about a more relaxed knit version? Please sign up.I wore this MANGO knit waistcoat* Even in death, this is still the case. The moment I get it out of the laundry, I’m wearing it again.I’m glad I wore this too Thule knit vest* On days when I don’t fit in completely. If I wasn’t wearing a knit vest, there’s a good chance I’d be wearing a knit vest. Arket linen shirt*, Perfect oversized size and not too long, so it’s super easy to tuck in. Another winner is DISSH linen crop top*. I added black to the lower half of my body to create a summery all-black outfit.

shorts & pants

I wear denim all year round. I’m willing to sweat in my full-length denim and vest top – “That’s chic!” I gasp, sweat dripping down my elbows.if you read my book denim guidethen I’ll know about everything. AGOLDE 90’s pinch waist jeans* And definitely it was my summer jeans.their hoodie long shorts*The denim shorts also ended up being my perfect fit and I wore them both in the wash.really enjoying it DISSH linen trousers*However, it’s lined, so it’s not meant for today’s hottest days.I was wearing it on that day Arket linen shorts* Pair it with a linen crop top for a playsuit look.
