Should you freshen up spaces like trash cans, your car, or closet? Who wouldn’t do it? This post is fast, but boys are good! Felt pads aren’t just for furniture feet – when a few drops of essential oils are added, they make a great deodorant!
It washes away old, tending spaces that tend to smell, without using clean edges of a gross air or toxic plugs INS. This essential oil hack is a lifesaver and one trick you’ll want to think faster!
Perusing Pinterest as I often do, I came across this fun essential oil hack and found out I had to share it right away. I have to give credit One important community I didn’t come up with this so I certainly wish I had!
Felt furniture pad It’s cheap and comes in all sizes. I know that if I look across them, I have that scratch wooden floor. They are felt so they are really soaked in essential oils and can stump anything due to the fresh scent. These felt pads can go anywhere. I have a teenage daughter, so their closets and bathrooms should be covered with pad felt pads…
How to make an Eo Deodorizer pad:
Depending on the size of the pad, simply drop a few drops of essential oils onto the pad. Soak the essential oils and remove the paper and place it where necessary. It’s very simple yet effective!
The scent should last for more than a week. If you don’t smell anymore, simply add essential oils to the pads.

For a large pad I use about 10 drops. 5 drops of medium pads and 3 drops of small pads. Honestly, it will drop as much essential oil as you want – it’s not harmful, but there are probably some unnecessary essential oils.

- Cupboard
- Linen closet
- drawer
- Shoe bottle and box
- car
- Garbage can
- Recycle the bottle
- Laundry Humper
- Kitty’s trash can (first with caution about cats and essential oils!)

Essential oil combinations and suggestions:
For medium-sized felt pads, we recommend 5 drops of essential oil. You can use only one essential oil or get creative with a combo. Below are some of my favorites.
- 3 Drop Lavender + 2 Drop Lemon
- 3 Drop Lavender + 2 Drop Bergamot
- 2-drop lemon + 2-drop orange + 1-drop tangerine
- 3 Drop Lavender + 2 Drop Ylang Ylang
- 3 Drop Peppermint + 2 Drop Rosemary
- 3 Drop Peppermint + 2 Drop Lemon
- 3 Drop Grapefruit + 1 Drop Orange + 1 Drop Geranium
- 3 Drop Grapefruit + 2 Drop Pine
- 3 Drop Sweet Orange + 1 Drop Rosemary + 1 Drop Clove
- 3 Drop Lemon Essential Oil + 1 Drop Clove Essential Oil
- 2 Drop Tea Tree + 2 Drop Lemon + 1 Drop Orange
- 1 Drop Lime + 1 Drop Sweet Orange + 1 Drop Lemon + 2 Drop Spearmint
- 3 Drop Lavender + 1 Drop Lemon + 1 Drop Rosemary
- 2 Drop Lavender + 2 Drop Cypress + 1 Drop Tea Tree
Be creative or keep it simple. This essential oil hack works no matter what combo or single oil you choose!
