Hello beautiful creatures! Today I’m excited to share some pretty foundation swatches along with some concealer swatches. I recently purchased some new foundations for wear testing. However, given the upcoming surgery and recovery period, it is unclear when these tests will be performed. Therefore, we present these samples to you now. Unless it’s a stick foundation, I vow not to buy any more foundation until I complete the foundation wear test in this post.

about my skin
I’m 45 years old and my skin is dry due to rosacea. I’m very fair-skinned, with neutral, cool undertones that turn to a muted yellow or yellow-olive in the sun. My main skin concerns are blurring fine lines, reducing hyperpigmentation, and evening out my skin tone. Avoid dryness and stickiness, and aim for a radiant, radiant appearance. My quest for the perfect foundation leads me to explore different options. That’s why I’m excited to share these fair foundation swatches with you.
What do you want from the Foundation?
My ideal foundation is one that blends perfectly into my skin and is almost indistinguishable. It should be long-lasting and able to withstand at least 12 hours of wear. I prefer light to medium coverage that expertly blurs imperfections and gives a natural, flawless look. I love foundation sticks for their customizable coverage, ease of application, and portability. As for the finish, I love the radiant look, which ranges from shimmery to skin-like, capturing the perfect balance of natural brightness and coverage.

Missha Glow Cushion Foundation 17 ivory
What I wore was Missha Glow Cushion Foundation 17 Ivory I used it twice and was impressed with its light-medium coverage and glowing formula. Effectively minimizes the redness of rosacea. It claims to have excellent moisturizing power, a weightless finish, and full coverage, but I wonder if there’s a mistranslation here. The coverage is “enough” for me, but it may not be enough for those who prefer a 100% opaque foundation. Fortunately, it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. However, the major drawback is that Missha has a limited shade range and is only suitable for fair to light skin.
Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream RX 17 light beige
What I’m wearing is Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream RX 17 Light Beige For many years. Missha touts 30 hours of wear, strong coverage, and plenty of hydration. This BB cream was perfect for my skin and I was impressed with how easy it was to apply. My muted undertones favor desaturated neutrals to cool yellows, and this shade is a perfect match.What is interesting is that it is available at a reasonable price ali expressis mysteriously absent, Misha US. As before, the limited range of shades of Misha is a noticeable drawback.

Thread Face It 3-in-1 Stick-in 00 Very Fair Neutral
I haven’t tried it yet, but Thread Face It Stick 00 Very Fair Neutral, a versatile 3-in-1 weightless cream complexion stick that can be used for foundation, concealer, contouring, and cream bronzing. There are 26 shades available online and at Target, and I chose shade 00 for foundation and concealer purposes. The coconut oil formulation makes it cruelty-free and vegan, but it may not be suitable for all skin types. As a fan of stick foundations, I’m hoping to do a wear test of this product soon. What do you think of their shade range and how it compares to other fair foundation swatches?
Thread Face It 3-in-1 Stick-in 20 light olives
I haven’t had a chance to use it, but Thread Face It Stick 20 Light Olive still. Especially for contouring the face.I decided on shade 20 following Thread website advice Choose a contour shade that is two levels darker than my skin tone. I thought 20 Light Olive would be an interesting choice to try considering I get an olive color in the sun.

Smashbox Hello Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer SPF 25 inches fair
Recently I received: Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer SPF 25 (Fair) From Smashbox, a product I previously purchased. It comes in 20 colors so I’m still having a hard time finding the right one. Fair, the lightest color, looks too orange on my skin. I often wish American beauty brands offered more desaturated shades like Missha’s 13 and 17. I know several friends who really love this tinted moisturizer, even though the shade match is poor and it’s uncomfortable to wear.
Smashbox Always on Skin Balancing Foundation F10W
Smashbox recently sent me Always On Skin Balancing Foundation F10W It’s for PR, but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. This foundation comes in 30 of his shades, and the primer-infused formula allows for 16 hours of wear without clumping, sweating, peeling, or streaking. I’m looking forward to trying out its performance soon.
KVD Good Apple Skin Perfecting Hydrating Foundation Balm light 002
I thought I had cleared it up before, but KVD Good Apple Skin Perfecting Hydrating Foundation Balm in Light 002. Although the shade matches well, it doesn’t suit my dry skin, it accentuates the dry areas and makes it look cakey. It’s been a while since I last wore it.
My current dissatisfaction with KVD as a brand stems from two main issues. First, my favorite Rosebud Everlasting Refillable Blush was discontinued and their suggestion to try the warmer shade Peony didn’t suit my taste. Second, the customer support managed through Zendesk seemed to work with multiple brands, and for KVD products I was encouraged to sign up for the Fenty newsletter, which made the service experience confusing.
Furthermore, KVD lacks transparency about the six-month shelf life of its products. dazzle gel eyeliner, I feel it is misleading because it is only written on the outer box.This may also apply to them dazzle stick.
Overall, I was disappointed in KVD with the discontinuation of popular refillable makeup products and unclear communication regarding product longevity.
Monica Blunder Blunder Cover All-in-one Foundation Ains
What I purchased was Monika Blunder Blunder Cover All-in-one Foundation (Eins) After hearing many positive reviews. I was impressed by the stick foundation-like customizable coverage and unique formula. I really like how easy it is to add the ranges I need, especially where I need them. I’ve used it 3 or 4 times so far, but haven’t done a full wear test yet. Designed as both foundation and concealer, coverage can be adjusted. Being silicone-free and vegan is a big plus. I chose the Ainz shade based on Mickey’s recommendation and it was a perfect match and blended perfectly with my skin.
Espoir Pro Taylor Be Glow Stick Foundation SPF42 vanilla
I bought it based on a recommendation from Reddit. Espoir Pro Taylor Be Glow Stick Foundation SPF42 Vanilla, foundation stick. I’ve only used it once so detailed wear tests are still pending. As a Korean beauty brand, Espoir offers a very limited shade range, with only four options available. I chose vanilla because I expected it to match Missha’s shades 13 and 17. In my fair foundation swatches, vanilla works well.
Graftobian HD Glamor Cream Foundation silk sprite
Previously I purchased Graftobian HD Glamor Cream Foundation Ultra Lights, which I recently received in PR. Professional makeup brand Graftobian offers 65 foundation shades. This foundation can be applied with a brush, sponge, or fingers. I prefer creams like this because you can customize the coverage even though you have to set it with a powder. As evidenced by my fair-skinned foundation swatches, the Ultra Light palette is suitable for very fair, desaturated skin without strong undertones.

IDUN Mineral Duo Concealer caprifol
Sent to me by IDUN Minerals Duo Concealer Caprifol Extra Light For PR. The right side effectively neutralizes dark circles under the eyes, and the left side is effective for other areas of the face. In my fair foundation swatch, I featured both sides of the bottom right rectangle.
final thoughts
I am recovering from blepharoplasty surgery that I had in late December 2023. The surgery was almost painless and I am happy with my decision. There is still some swelling around the eyes, but it is gradually improving and I am looking forward to seeing the results once it is fully healed.
After nearly a year of fighting, her next breast reconstruction surgery is scheduled for the end of January. It’s been a difficult journey since I was diagnosed last year and decided to have a prophylactic double mastectomy. Although this choice was unexpected, it significantly reduced my breast cancer risk and provided much-needed relief. Recovery has been tough, but I’m committed to physical therapy and exercise, and I’m slowly seeing improvement.
