I’m a little surprised that I don’t look more exhausted in this photo. Because about 20 minutes before I took this photo, I had been stumbling down a cul-de-sac hill like a Looney Tunes cartoon character.

No, seriously, I rolled down the hill as fast as I could. We live in a neighborhood with many oak trees that produce giant acorns. As I was walking Connor down the hill to school, I didn’t seem to pay much attention to where my foot landed, and when I stepped on an acorn it was basically like a giant marble and my My right ankle rotated under me.

That set off a chain reaction that sent me crashing to the ground, hitting the sidewalk, where I reflexively squeezed into a round ball, clinging to Connor’s little pink backpack, and tumbling further down the steep hill. Dear life!

Honestly, I’m at a point in my life where I’m just happy that if I fall, 1) I can actually get up and 2) my teeth are all intact. Thank you, goddesses of the universe. have my back. Otherwise, this selfie would have looked completely different, oh my!

Simply put, I’m wearing Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil (Happy)a cool pink. Oh, my ankle is a little hurt. It’s not a sprain though.

This lip color will forever be etched in my mind as the one I wore the day I rolled down the hill.

Oh, and here something even stranger happened. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. It was like I was out of my body and watching everything happen at the moment it was happening. So strange!

Anyway, my colleague noticed that I was limping and asked what happened. And after telling all the sordid details, she proceeded to tell me an even crazier story about the time she fell down a hill and tumbled down.

She lives on a very steep hill in San Francisco, and while walking her dog, she encountered two very ill-mannered puppies (she described them as a “threat”). (I called it a “prank”). Somehow her dog, Menace and Mischief get into a scuffle and she ends up rolling down the hill in her pajamas and into a big pile of dog poop.

Rolling down a hill is 100% not recommended.
