Why I loved the original Teint Idole

Why care and grow are different
The new Care & Glow Foundation adds ‘thoughtful’ skincare ingredients to the Teint Idole formula, the clue is in the name, giving the foundation a healthy, radiant glow. It has slightly less coverage than the Teint Idole Ultra Wear, but at the same time it’s easier to build up and a little more flexible, so it’s easy to double up around your nose and under your eyes if you need a little more camouflage.

Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care & Glow before and after photos

When Lancôme reworked the original version of the Tan Idol, the shade was changed, which was a blessing in disguise, much to the annoyance of longtime fans. It wasn’t all that difficult to treat old shades as equal to new ones, but I can see that it was an extra administrative task that people didn’t want, especially if they were using the same foundation. Same color for years. I’m guessing that Lancôme added so many new colors that they had to change the color numbers, but don’t shoot Messenger. I’m not even a messenger, I’m just a guesser.
The good news is that the Care & Glow shades seem to line up very nicely with the standard formula shades.
