Givenchy Le Rouge Interdit Cream Velvet Lip Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I don’t like matte skin. I don’t understand why I would pass up a chance to shine, but I know that not everyone is as disgusted as I am. The new Givenchy Le Rouge Interdie Creme Velvet Lip is a next-level formula. It’s super light – they call it “air kiss” and I agree with that term as a description – and settles into a cushiony, plump look on the lips.

What I don’t like is the applicator. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the “narrow” in the middle doesn’t fit my lips perfectly, so I end up applying almost from the tip, completely avoiding the center nub. High saturation is good, but remember that applying oil or balm underneath will reduce the hold. Having smooth lips makes you look gorgeous. If, like me, you don’t, then there is some smoothness, but despite the blurring element of this product, the matte is great for highlighting any lip wrinkles you may already have.

Both shades I was sent are very similar in that they are on the rosewood and brick spectrum. This one he is the lighter of the two, No. 15.

And this is No.41.

No. 41 will be at the bottom of the swatch, and No. 15 will be at the top. Givenchy Le Rouge Interdie Creme Velvet Lips are £34 each, but I found them at Escentual for £28.90. here. In fact, if you go to Escentual, they’ve just started a 25% off fragrance campaign (I’m thinking about Christmas, my nephews recently discovered aftershave!). *Givenchy Cream Velvet is not suitable for vegans because the cap is made of leather.
