Gucci Beauty has launched a new concealer. Center de Beaute Multi-use Longwear Concealer ($47 each). I really love the new formula and demo on my instagram In cooperation with sephora. Many of you have asked questions about formulations and color choices, so we wanted to do a more in-depth review and include an updated roundup of the basic products.
Multi-use long wear concealer
new Gucci Multi-use Longwear Concealer A medium coverage concealer with a light texture and natural finish. It has enough pigment to cover freckles and even out the under eye area, but it still looks like skin (just a little better). The new concealer comes in a wide range of shades with different undertones. According to the shade breakdown:
- C stands for cool – skin rarely tans and is pink
- N is neutral – skin sometimes tans with both pink and golden hues
- W is warm – skin tans easily and takes on a yellow or golden hue
About the shade matches I found Shade 34N To be my best match under the eyes. It’s neutral and medium, just a little lighter than my skin, but very close. I usually prefer a concealer that is closer to my skin tone than using something 2-3 shades lighter under my eyes.
I ended up ordering multiple colors. Mainly because I wanted to try them out and also see color swatches for people with my twin skin. I tried all six and the first choice, 34N, was the best. I also really like 28C or 31W for brightness. 35W is also perfect for spot concealment.
Some W shades are more yellow/olive than others. 32W is very yellow, while 31W and 35W are both more golden/neutral. Out of the 2 C undertone shades, the undertone looks consistently pink. I only tried one of the N neutrals, so I’m not sure how the other neutral shades work, but 34N is certainly very neutral.

The concealer is unscented and the staying power is quite impressive. I like that it doesn’t wrinkle or harden, and it sets well on its own. The texture/pigment is similar to: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer With a slightly more matte drydown. If you want something more creamy and opaque, this might be too thin. In that case, natasha denona highgram, Givenchy or tart shape tape radiant.

luminous matte foundation
Gucci has launched several foundation formulas in recent years, and the formulas currently available include: Luminous matte finish foundation ($69). My best match is 305N, but the color is a little brighter. It adjusts/oxidizes slightly so you can make it work.
The next shade up is 310N, but there’s a pretty big gap (it looks at least 3 shades darker). This foundation has one of the best matte finishes I’ve tried. I don’t really like matte foundations. That’s because matte foundations often look too thick and flat. But this one has a really nice finish and great staying power. I would wear this more often if the shade matched perfectly. Mix this with one and adjust. Elf Halo Glow Filter (usually shade 5 or 7).
It has a floral scent, so it may not be a problem for people who are sensitive to foundation scents. Luckily, it didn’t irritate my skin.Before/After below, also worn gucci satin lipstick in painted veil and Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Dreams Eyeshadow Palette.
matte beauty powder
gucci matte beauty powder It comes in one of the prettiest compacts I’ve ever seen. It has a compartment for puffs which I love. Although it is described as “matte”, it actually contains some glitter particles, but when applied to the face, the glitter is not very visible on the skin. I wear shade 4 (which seems to be out of stock now) or shade 5.
It’s a very good powder, but it does have some drawbacks. One is that it has a strong scent. It’s not unpleasant, but I think it has a strong side. The other thing is that the buns tend to get hard, but this is due to oil getting on the brush of the powder, whether it’s oil from touching your face, moisturizer residue, or even your fingers. It happens when you are.
I’ve managed to keep it clean, but I’m very careful with the brushes I use. I am a bit obsessive about having clean brushes and am always washing them, so I almost always have a clean powder brush when using this. Overall it’s nice and performs well, but it’s not my favorite. I’ve completely used up some of my compacts and just bought a new one. I like it, but I think there’s a better formula.
Brume de Beaute Mist
of gucci beauty face mist This is also a great product. It’s a multitasking product that can be used to condition your skin and set your makeup. A two-phase formula containing black rose oil and hyaluronic acid. An ultra-fine mist is sprayed from the top, giving your skin a very refreshing feeling. I think it would be a really nice indulgence, but it smells like flowers. If the scent is not good, MAC Fix+ or Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray Great option.
Versatile illuminating drops
Last but not least, let’s take a look at them again. Illuminétour de Beauté Multi-Use Drop. This is one of the prettiest liquid highlighters I’ve tried. It glows with the perfect amount of pigment and shine on me. The color is a peachy champagne and I really like it on medium/tan skin, but I think it would suit any skin tone.
