what i bought

Ah, trendy hair care. Sometimes I hate myself for falling for certain brand hype. Gisou (“hair” in Persian) was one of them. Negin Mirsalehi is gorgeous (at least according to her Instagram page), has beautiful, healthy hair (again according to her Instagram page), and at the same time her family, along with Negin herself, is 6. I think it also has a fascinating story of raising bees for generations. Be a beekeeper! All Gisou products contain honey from Milsalehi beehives, which is very interesting, but Negin’s images are (as are often) incredibly handpicked, so what It’s hard to know what’s in it, so you have to approach this luxury hair care line with a grain of salt. It wasn’t real anymore, but my curiosity overwhelmed me, and when the opportunity came to sample all of Gisou’s bestsellers in sample size, I thought, “Why not?”

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Care Set

Honey Infused Hair Wash Shampoo

Gisou Honey Infused Shampoo

The first Gisou product I purchased was the Propolis Infused Heat Protecting Spray. This had such a strong floral scent that I actually had to move to another room each time I sprayed it, which made me so sad because this was a $54 product. Don’t waste it! Everyone raved about how good the Gisou products smelled, so it was disappointing when the first product I got didn’t live up to the hype. Thankfully, this was not the case with all four of his offerings in this set.

The shampoo smelled nice, but it was fine. I don’t find this shampoo to be particularly moisturizing, and for my coarse, colored hair, it actually feels a little dry to the touch, even in the shower. It also didn’t lather very well, so it wasn’t that big of an issue for me, but if the rest of the product experience was “okay,” the overall feeling is that this product isn’t worth the money. just increase.

honey infused conditioner

Gisou Honey Infused Conditioner

Again, this really smells divine, but as with the shampoo, I didn’t feel this product was worth the price tag. It’s only slightly moisturizing and without the hair mask my hair was very tangled and gritty to the touch. Perhaps this product will work for fine hair? My hair is porous, so I think this conditioner soaks in quickly. Anyway, the whole thing was so sad that I’m going to use up the rest of this product so it doesn’t go to waste.

Honey infused moisturizing hair mask

Gisou honey-infused hair mask

Just use this instead of conditioner! This mask made a much more noticeable difference in terms of smoothing and softening my hair without leaving any residue behind. However, I didn’t find this to be any better than the Garnier Fructis his hair mask, but be aware that this mask does not contain silicones (most drugstore masks do). I use a lot of hair masks in a day because of my hair and this one is great, better than the Gisou conditioner but not as good as buying the full size. Thankfully, if you’re really into this mask, the 75mL mini size is enough for a few uses so you can really feel how the product works on your hair. I mainly used it on the ends of my hair, but I used it about 7 times and used it up to the last part.

honey infused hair oil

Gisou honey infused hair oil

I’ll save the best for last! This is a product I really wanted to try and I honestly want to rub this oil all over my body. The scent is very sweet, but be careful not to use too much as it is a highly viscous oil that will make your hair sticky. I only need about 1.5 drops of the dropper on the ends of my hair, but it really helped soften the ends and add a little shine. My hair doesn’t feel heavy after a long day without washing, but it’s dry again. As far as hair oils go, there are certainly similar ones at lower prices, and “better” ones in that they don’t leave your hands feeling greasy, but I treat hair oils like perfumes and tend to rotate them based on scent. there is.

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Care Set

Final Verdict: I think these Gisou products smell great, but the actual results are flat with some and fine with others. These products are priced so extravagantly that I wanted them to be great considering the hype, but I guess the hype is just that. Oddly enough, I still like to try every new Gisou product when it comes out, but I don’t think I’ll ever buy the full size one.
