Hello From ITG | Into The Gloss

Into The Gloss was built on conversation and connection through beauty. So, naturally, our prolonged silence felt eerie and raised eyebrows. Things have been quiet around ITG for the past few months. Because in that time I’ve given birth to my first child, taken maternity leave, and navigated the ups and downs of motherhood (more on that below!). Hindsight is always 20/20. Looking back, I know I should have said something sooner, but I’m here to ensure ITG is here to stay. I’m sorry for leaving you all in the dark. We would like to welcome you back to our team.

Want to hear the story?

I gave birth to a baby girl at the beginning of this year. Then, a few groggy days after giving birth, I sat down to have my blood pressure taken, per my doctor’s instructions. Everything after that happened at warp speed. I went back to the hospital and was hooked up to an IV, a monitor, and a heart machine. I was going to go home with my 5-day-old daughter, but my wonderfully straightforward obstetrician-gynecologist wouldn’t let me and said,His blood pressure is so high and his organs are showing signs of damage that he will have a stroke if he leaves the hospital.

Postpartum preeclampsia is a deadly and very confusing pregnancy complication. Its main effect is to cause uncontrolled high blood pressure. As I lay in the hospital room for days, nurses rushed in and out, chanting strange spells. relax. I watched a lot of TV, pumped enough milk to get home, and scrolled to the end of TikTok. I thought about beauty. I thought about how I couldn’t bring myself to do it when all I had was time and an obligation to “take care of myself.” I aimed for the magic of beauty, anything that makes me feel good.

I continued to have that feeling even after I returned to Japan. My maternity leave experience there was both part of raising a child and navigating my own new health environment. Relaxing is so important to my health and I turned to Beauty Internet for so much of it.To be honest, I tried not to think about the work itself, because that’s who you are. do not have As I was supposed to do over the holidays, I thought about beauty and how the way we experience beauty has evolved.

When I recently returned to ITG, I realized that ITG also needs to evolve. During its more than 10 years of existence, a lot has changed. We’ve all become more knowledgeable about skin care and better at taking care of our faces. Overall, we have much more opinion on what works and what doesn’t. how we express ourselves; Beauty professionals talking to us. and the impact on the industry as a whole.neither do we read When it comes to beauty, we see it in action at touchpoints across the internet.

This is where ITG will move forward in the coming weeks. We are expanding the number of platforms on which we can contact you and expanding our reach across the beauty sector. Introducing new franchises and newcomers. We’re telling an incredible story. It took him a minute to get here, but as the saying goes, pardon the dust. A new ITG is being baked.
