Many brands are launching home dipping systems. What would you say to clients who are considering purchasing nail services instead of salon nail services?

The dip system has become widespread in the United States, causing what is known as the “dip flu” to be recognized as a real problem.

This concerns vapors from cyanoacrylate adhesives used in place of UV gel systems. This adhesive is used for pasting chips in the nail field. For example, if you spill something on your foot while wearing jeans, it is dangerous because it generates high heat and can cause serious burns to the skin under the fabric.

Also, the powder used is most likely the powder used in the L&P system, rather than a powder manufactured specifically for the L&P system. L&P’s powder contains benzoyl peroxide, which is a known irritant and can cause painful dermatitis.

It’s easy to do at home, so many people who try it will want to share it with their friends and associates as well. But they won’t understand the hygiene risks of having several people immersed in a pot of the same powder.

All of these issues are the same for professionals using this system, but any good course should cover them all in your training.

Explain this to your clients and discourage them from trying this DIY product. We warn you about the dangers and, despite all the marketing claims, acetone takes a long time to remove, so many people resort to it and end up doing long-term damage to their nails. Please also let me know.
