I’ve been waiting a while to review this, and I’ve been getting asked a lot on Instagram. The £49 price is a bit of a bummer, but Hourglass seems to be a brand that people are more than willing to pay for. The ingredient list is for a skin care base based on hyaluronic acid, squalane and meadowfoam seed oil (one of my favorite ingredients), which moisturizes the skin but doesn’t feel quite heavy.
I was invited to choose two shades, which I found very difficult. I chose 7 Light Medium with warm undertones and 9 Medium with warm undertones. If you want to see a specific undertone, both SpaceNK and Sephora are a bit lazy and not included, so you’ll have to visit the Hourglass website. I don’t think either is quite right for my tone, but 7 was better.
Below is 9 and above is 7. If you can’t try it first, pass. Because I think you need to properly check the swatches in the store to get it right.
