When I was first asked to write a blog post about sculpting with PureBronze Matte Bronzer, I was a little apprehensive. I’ve spent years shaping my round, pale face with bronzers that are always too orange for my skin tone, but I’ve never fully mastered the art of contouring. was.

How to contour with a highlighter

When sculpting the face, Sean recommends highlighting first and then contouring. Because that way I can easily determine where I need to add contours. For highlighting, choose a shade a few shades lighter than your skin tone, or use a lightening product to create a similar lifting effect.

After applying the highlighter, use the contour brush to outline the areas you want to outline. Common areas to place bronzer include along the hairline, along the hollows of the cheeks, along the nose, and along the jawline. Pro-tip: When sculpting your jawline, always start behind your ears to avoid a clear starting point for your contour.

Then, once you’ve reached the desired level of sculpting, the key to making everything look natural is to blend it all together. Thoroughly. Leave the areas near the hairline dark and gradually blend the color with the contour brush towards the center of the face.

How to contour your face with makeup

Prep your makeup with Smooth Affair® Brightening Face Primer. Then dot the Glow Time Pro™ BB Cream. GT1 Apply to cheeks, forehead, chin and nose and blend quickly with a blending/contouring brush.
