Let’s start with stamps. Because I’ve had enough of my friends and family with stamps that I need to move on to new victims. He gives two reasons why stamps (the kind of rubber you ink on, not the ones you stick on envelopes) need to become part of your life. The first reason is incredibly sound.Do you miss those fun little craft projects from your childhood? Coloring for hours on end, cutting pieces of paper and gluing them to other pieces of paper and making a mess all over the floor and table? Do you remember wondering why you always looked so tired? wonderful. We loved it, but as we grew up, most of us stopped doing it.I don’t have time, I don’t want to cause unnecessary confusion, it’s not practical. need To create something.

What if we gave them something a little crafty and artistic, something that wasn’t too messy and satisfied the urge to create something great with minimal effort?

stamp! They really are foolproof! Someone else did the difficult artistic part. Just ink it and slap it on paper like the early people did. It’s mindless childish escapism, and it looks so accomplished because someone so talented put their stamp on it. Have you been tempted? Good: I’m a stamp influencer now. Stampfluencer.

But wait. What I’m selling you here isn’t just the satisfying and highly therapeutic properties of ink stamps. That was the first reason. What if – Reason 2 – Stamping was actually possible? save money?Think about all the notecards, birthday cards and Funky Pigeons you regularly spend on, open your stamp box (yes, I made them) and print something nice, charming and rustic.? Imagine if you could send it to your local post office. Darling? Or is your child in an eternal rota of classmates who seem to have about eight birthdays a year? Each?

Pick up a Catherine Redgate stamp (a special edition that makes every card look like it was hand-drawn, it’s genius), stamp it on a card (recycled paper for extra health points), and Slip it into a brown envelope. you are away

Custom stamps, nice stamps with company branding, stamps to make patterns (I printed my own Christmas wrapping paper after seeing The English Stamp Company do it on Instagram and that’s it! There are dozens of types, including the beginning of Collect cute plant and animal stamps to customize stationery, create greeting cards, and anything else you like.

From printing your own cards to printing your own family photo albums. Granted, I don’t actually print, but just choosing the photos and ordering them correctly takes hours. That is why I claim to admire these paper books.

I’ve used Papier several times before. I like the matte texture of the photo book, which gives it a chic and stylish feel. If you want glossy vibrancy and crazy Comic Sans captions (my mom), this might be too subtle, but I love the millennial vibe.Maybe it’s me So Almost like a real millennial. (Born in 1980. Please keep telling me that fact so I can feel more realistic and youthful.)

Be careful when choosing the photos for these books. Make sure there is proper brightness. It’s very easy to assume that your photos will look great because everything looks nice and vibrant on a backlit screen. In print it’s a different story. Turn down your screen brightness to about 20% and think to yourself. Does this photo need a little more lift? Are there areas where the black is just a different shade? I have to make quite a few adjustments.

Anyway, I’ve been doing one photo album every year since I had my first child, and it’s 2019 now, so it’s been a while since I’ve had time to catch up. I decided to save my photos in a special phone album to save most of the organization work from now on. To be honest, each book took me many hours. But it’s worth it.

Our next favorite: It’s completely free and we’re sure you’ll get great value. Comedian Jen Brister’s comedy show. optimist. I had tickets to see this live last year but was sick, so I was overjoyed when Jen announced that she would be posting the televised version online. she is evil In every sense of the word. I highly recommend you take an hour or so in the evening, put this on, sit down, and laugh with her at her rants. She’s like a very sexy John Cleese when you start to lose the story…

Now, onto the beauty favorites. Here are the clear winners – these are the ones that made me go instantly ah And make a mental note to tell you about them. First up is The Inkey List’s Bioactive Ceramide Enriched Moisturizer. This nourishing, deeply hydrating face cream is rich yet completely non-greasy and helps repair your skin’s barrier. (This is necessary because these days most people are using over-the-counter acids and retinoids all at the same time, six and a half days a week. This is a problem.)

Inkey List doesn’t have frills or flashy packaging, but the cream itself is silky, luxurious and sophisticated, and costs less than £20. You can’t go wrong with this. If packaging floats your boat, decant it into a fancy glass pot.

Some hair heroes to finish. It’s especially good if you have hair that needs styling (or long hair that looks choppy and casual rather than silky smooth) and doesn’t like heavy, ultra-moisturizing products. Masu. .

First, Sam McKnight’s Cool Girl Wash and Conditioner (online) here*): These nourish your hair properly without weighing it down. If you love waving or curling your hair and need to maintain as much texture and volume as possible, but want to repair and prevent damage, this range is for you. As a side note, the packaging is a perfect pink color. I know it doesn’t make sense to some people, but I like how it matches the tiles in my bathroom.

Next is the Arkive Everyday series. The conditioner is slightly, just slightly heavier than Sam McKnight’s conditioner, but it still doesn’t weigh down the hair and leaves everything feeling soft and light and ready for styling. You can find Arkive at Boots here*. They’re sometimes offered in 2-for-3 promotions, so it’s worth stocking up if you can find them.

right. I’m going to stamp something. Don’t worry if you see me walking around with what looks like multiple cat tattoos on my arms, neck, and face, because I’m running out of paper soon. I just put a different kind of ink on myself.
