To be honest, I learned about this technique by accident. I was working with a client who didn’t have enough hair for her installation, so I got creative and experimented with new methods. I absolutely loved the results and realized that I could fill a gap in the industry for seamless, hair and scalp-friendly extensions. Thus, the Invisible K-Tip method was born. I wanted to create a solution that was not only innovative, but inclusive for all women.

By age 30, you’ve built a seven-figure empire. This is an amazing achievement. What are some important lessons you learned along the way?
Dee Michelle:
The biggest lessons were about consistency, professionalism, and communication. Reputation is everything in this industry, and your clients trust you to feel great. It’s also important to be adaptable and stay on top of trends. I’ve seen stylists fall behind because they can’t meet client demands. That’s why I prioritize continuing education. This is the foundation for long-term success.

Your work will empower the next generation of stylists through masterclasses. What trends do you think will dominate the hair industry in 2025? How are you helping shape the future?

Invisible K-Tips are definitely here to stay. Customers are also gravitating toward natural styles such as traditional stitching and those that enhance natural beauty. Regarding training, we are currently developing a new program that will not only teach techniques, but also the business aspects of hair styling, such as attracting high-end customers and setting prices. I believe we all deserve to win in this industry.

Who is your dream client, someone you haven’t worked with yet?
Dee Michelle:
It has to be Beyoncé! It’s amazing that one day it happens because every time I post someone tags her name in the comments.
