“I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Biology. Shortly after graduating from university, I had a moment when it became clear to me that what I really wanted was to have my own beauty brand. was everyone’s go-to hairstylist from an early age, so I knew I had a strong eye for color, formula, makeup, and an overall approach to beauty. I was the person you would go to and ask if you were going somewhere. Could you do my makeup? Which lipstick should I buy? What should I do? What are the steps? Shortly after realizing this, I ended up attending business school. I graduated during the Great Recession and had a really tough time. I couldn’t find any work, but my love for color was still there, so I decided to spend my time doing one last job that I hadn’t really had the chance to do before. It was about collaborating with some of the best artists in the world. I came to Los Angeles to pursue my art education. Then I was at a crossroads and had to ask myself if I wanted to pursue art as a career or start this beauty brand that had been inside me for so long.

I didn’t come to Kosas with a big brand plan or marketing strategy. It started with lipstick. I was always reaching for shades that “make your lips look better” but with my olive skin tone it was difficult. I wanted a tone that looked truly human – my actual skin color, not beige. We also wanted to formulate the product in a very specific way. I wanted to combine the two and put it out into the world with lots of love and intention. In fact, the brand name is based on Vedic philosophy. kosher.words kosher Literally translated as “sheath” in Sanskrit, philosophy says that there are five layers of self, and your true essence, not the self we put out into the world, but your true capital “S” self. , radiates outward into your appearance. Essentially, beauty is a reflection of your true self. And that’s the story I want to tell with Cosus. I received a lot of messages from the beauty industry about covering up and correcting myself, but it never resonated with me. I think it’s very natural for us to want to express ourselves to reveal our true selves. In fact, I think we did that.

skin care
I have incredibly acne-prone and very reactive skin, so I’m very careful with my skin care. Cleansing is the most important thing for me, especially when it comes to applying makeup every day. I do a double cleanse at night. Bioderma Sensibio H2O is the best micellar water and can cut through so many layers of makeup. I use a slightly larger cotton oval. This is really important because they give me a very gentle physical exfoliation.of Paula’s Choice Resist Cleanser It’s very light but really thorough without flaking. It also contains ceramide, which has excellent skin barrier function. Occasionally, apply another layer of oil or balm cleanser. Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever by Living Libationsif you need a triple cleanse.

I’ve had a facial with Angelia Caglia before, and she takes a really gentle approach to the skin.i found her cell forte serum The results within the last six months have been amazing. Immediately after the first use, my skin became firmer and smoother. It’s quite a splurge, but since it’s made from human stem cells, you’ll use every last drop.I also fell in love with Shani Darden’s work at first sight. plumping serum. I stopped using traditional moisturizers probably 2-3 years ago. I was born with large pores and a fairly large texture, so traditional heavy moisturizers were on the verge of enlarging them. When I actually used it, I saw a significant improvement. The plumping serum is hydrating enough for me with glycerin and snow mushroom. Honestly, I think I use it about once a week. And I’m using Joanna Czech’s C+ serum Probably twice a month as it can be very sensitive for me. Two times is enough to get the whitening effect my skin desires. The serums I use regularly are: Cosus Plump + Juicy Serum. Formulated to suit your skin type. If I see someone with active breakouts, I’ll say, “Stop everything, just double cleanse, and use our serum spray.” That’s my opinion. And it works. Contains soothing Artemisia flower extract, healing peptides, and probiotics to support the skin’s microbiome. And recently I started using eye cream. I never thought that day would come. It’s like you don’t know that you’re aging until it actually happens.i have been using Related Beauty’s Beam + Glow Eye Serum. It’s not heavy and greasy like other eye creams I’ve tried, but it caused me to develop milia.

If I had to go to a deserted island, I would take this with me. cosas dreambeam sunscreen with me. Contains 21.7% zinc. She invented it during the summer when she enrolled her daughter in a surf camp. They couldn’t put her in the water unless her face was completely coated with zinc. If you want to know what works, ask a surfer. They did not accept other types of sunscreen. They were also specific about zinc-based sunscreens for children to use, as they must contain a specific concentration of zinc. Zinc is so white and durable that it appears blue-purple when placed on the skin. I added a peachy pink shade to neutralize it to some extent. It’s definitely minimized, but it doesn’t disappear completely. Ideal as a makeup base. To be honest, before using Dream Beam, I had never worn sunscreen. Sunscreen is something you should always wear. I stopped using it because it irritated me and made my makeup look bad. DreamBeam really meets all my criteria. It’s comfortable to use, blends well under makeup, and doesn’t cause breakouts.

and i love me Nuface. When I use it consistently, 2-3 days a week, even if she uses it for 5-10 minutes, I feel like my face is getting a workout. I’ve always wanted to get one, zip Because the app has a variety of facial exercises. I love the founder, Melanie Simon.Speaking of facial training, I love it face gym. I don’t think you can ever get a deep enough face massage, but this is the only place they are completely dedicated to it. There are so many muscles in our face that are very tense. There’s a store near my house, so I start going there once a month. Last time I went, I had the cryo treatment and loved it. The next few weeks felt very smooth and bright.

compensate
After applying sunscreen, I apply one push. BB burst in Medium temperature 24 everywhere. Then add one more thing. I’m a big believer in working in multiple thin layers.i use our concealer in 3.8 Under my eyes. I’m always aiming for fullness and lift in my overall look, and concealer is definitely part of that anti-gravity formula. [Laughs] I use a considerable amount cloud set setting powder in feathery and comfortable Because it gives you this beautiful filter without flattening your face. Then I use a huge amount sunshine bronzer in Beachy Because you can also use it to carve and lift.

Draw eyebrows in two or three stages.i use blow pop nano in Dark brown Adding a shading to the upper part of the eyebrow tail can also have a slight lifting effect. Leave the front of your eyebrows completely bare to avoid a boxy look.then I use air blow gel in medium brown Mainly used for eyebrow tails and air blows. clear It’s on the front so it doesn’t look heavy.

I started using eyeshadow a year and a half ago and it was life changing for me. I’m a big believer in getting the most out of everything, and for years I haven’t been able to do that. I was afraid of eyeshadow because I didn’t have time to focus on my eyes and I was afraid of looking too much. But when I started using it, undressing palette, I felt like I was finally making the most of my property. I felt the same way about my lips. Now my obsession is ours wet stick. It has a beautiful balm-like texture. I have a few favorite shades. 100 degrees, pick one up depending on your mood. Then of course I always lip fuel in Base line around it.

hair
I get my hair cut and colored regularly. tawni dawson. That’s the basis of everything.I wash my hair once every 2-3 days and this is the only thing I use Davines MOMO shampoo and heart of glass conditioner. My hair tends to get heavy, so I try to minimize the use of hair care products. I also have acne-prone skin, and most hair care products make it worse.I dyson hair dryer To blow it out, I do a soft wave T3 curl x 1.5 inch curling iron.

nail
brittany voice LA nails My relationship with my nails has completely changed. She gave me her signature almond-shaped builder gel manicure. It’s very glamorous and makes you feel feminine. I put a lot of importance on my nails because it makes me feel put together all at once. This is strange because applying a manicure is not a very short process and takes about 2 hours each time. I tend to choose more neutral shades, usually variations of white, pink, or beige that match my skin tone. Brittany lets me mix my own shades when I want to use her colors. It is very fun. I love a very unique red with just the right amount of fuchsia and orange. One of my favorite tricks with her is to apply a matte she coat over it. There’s something very powerful about matte reddish fuchsia nails.

scent
I’m a sucker for leather, sandalwood, vanilla, and tobacco scents. My father had a pipe from an early age and I have strong childhood memories of him going into his room just to smell it. I also swear to God that if I close my eyes and smell the sandalwood scent, I will be transported to another realm.I started wearing fragrances again because of a discovery I made. blooming in the sun From Dedokur. I’m into it. There’s a kind of earthy sweetness to it, but not sugary sweetness. It smells like when you’re in love, like when you get under the sheets and see the sunlight shining through.I got it recently haunted rose From future society. The premise of the company is really great. They sequence the DNA of extinct flowers to create scents. I was drawn into it, but the story alone is never enough. The scent was very nice, and when I picked it up, it touched my heart. I’m not usually a big fan of floral patterns, but this one has a nice balance.

I also love amber scents and Sacred + Divine has 333 candle That’s beautiful.and i love that packaging diptyque baize candle. The pitch black bowl makes me feel very happy. It’s very soft and doesn’t feel pressured at all. I keep it in my bedroom. ”
