Commenting on the partnership, Monica Arnaud, chief merchandising officer at Ulta Beauty, said, “As Kylie Cosmetics’ first retail partner, we’re thrilled to support the brand’s continued growth and expansion. This new phase for Kylie Cosmetics highlights its strong resonance with beauty enthusiasts around the world and exemplifies the unique possibilities that can be realized through our partnership with Target.”
Brand founder Kylie Jenner echoed Arnaud’s sentiments, sharing her enthusiasm for the brand’s launch in a statement: “I created Kylie Cosmetics to give people access to the makeup products I love, and I can’t wait to give even more people the opportunity to shop and experience our products in stores across the country.”
Rick Gomez, Target’s executive vice president and chief food, staples and beauty officer, emphasized that Kylie Cosmetics’ “luxury experience” is “what makes our partnership with Ulta Beauty special,” adding that the company is “looking to build on the power of bringing our brands together to change the way people shop for beauty.”

Kylie Cosmetics has continued to evolve since its launch in 2014, and the brand’s recent expansion follows Coty’s acquisition of a 51% controlling stake in the company for $600 million in November 2019, and the relaunch of product formulas featuring clean and vegan ingredients in 2021. The brand has not been without controversy over the past decade, with a May 2020 article in Forbes magazine stating that the company OverratedThe planned $1.2 billion move into Target’s Ulta Beauty, which aims to recognise Jenner as the “youngest self-made billionaire,” is a positive move for the brand heading into 2024 and reflects its enduring popularity with consumers.
The Ulta Beauty collection launch at Target includes Kylie Cosmetics Matte and Velvet Lip Kits, Matte and Cream Lipsticks, Lip Oil, Sugar Lip Scrub, Matte Liquid Lipstick, Tinted Butter Balm, High Gloss, Precision Pout Lip Liner and Plumping Gloss.
