For years Kylie Jenner From Hair Color Watch, it’s become clear to me that the entrepreneur and reality TV star isn’t as keen on changing up her hair colour as she was a few years ago. Remember how much she changed up her hair colour from 2015 to 2020? What a great time those were! When she suddenly went back to pink in January, it seemed like this might be the year she’d start playing with colour again, but since then, she’s stuck with her gorgeous default dark brunette for 2024. Until now.
Jenner She posted a few selfies on Instagram. On Friday afternoon, she showed off a totally unexpected new hairstyle, lounging around in a white tank top while posing for a few photos sporting a look that was clearly inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Or maybe Madonna 1990, who was also clearly inspired by Marilyn Monroe.
Rather than her usual long, dark hair, Jenner sported a voluminous blonde bob: the buttery color was neither too cool nor too warm, and was styled in big, loose, slightly tousled curls that were side-parted and fell in front of her eyes, no longer than her chin.
My hunch is that this is a wig, not a dyed or cut, because her eyebrows appear to have been lightened with makeup, and speaking of makeup, her overall look is pretty modern compared to her hair, thanks to the extra-long eyeliner wings and brown gradient lips.
“Did anyone say they miss King Kylie?” Jenner wrote in the caption. Fans were ready in the comments section. People chimed in with their responses: “This is Marilyn Monroe not King Kylie 😂,” one wrote, while another added: “No this is Kylie Monroe ❤️.”
Will we see this look again after today? With Kylie Jenner, it’s always hard to say, but here’s hoping she decides to switch up her style a little more frequently than twice a year.
