For decades I’ve proudly declared myself a crazy cat lady, but last Saturday I found my mate Mini Cat Town in San Rafael.
Mini Cat Town is a nonprofit kitten adoption safe haven located in Santa Rosa Plaza, about 45 minutes north of where I live in Marin County. The cats roam freely in the large room and interact with cat lovers and adopters.
To visit with the kittens, pay a small admission fee and get 30 minutes to hang out and play.
Honestly, it’s a mystery to me how I was able to leave home without adopting one, two, five, or ten kittens (lol)!
I was immediately attracted to a handsome orange tabby boy named Teddy. Look at his face. Indeed he is super nyadal.
He was very sweet, fun, and sociable, and when I picked him up he immediately melted into my arms, just like Tubbs used to do.
I couldn’t help but think for a moment that Tubbs was trying to send me another soul cat. That’s how I felt, but then I remembered how overwhelmed I was by the children I had in my life (human and fur children), and I came back to reality.
But I also thought, “What’s one more cat when you already have a house full of animals?” Hahaha! It’s really, really hard not to take these cute babies home.
Anyway, Multiple Mini Cat Town locations throughout the Bay Area. I highly recommend you to visit once if you have a chance.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
