Hey hey Saturday! I’m still here, I’m still alive, and I’m still wearing MAC’s Candy Yum Yum Lipstick! I found it last week when I was looking through my makeup drawer and decided that even though it’s fall, hot pink is perfect for the season, hahaha!
I just realized that I have yet to wear a dark, rich, cozy wine, burgundy, brown, garnet, or fall red lip color, hmm. In fact, my lipstick game has been pretty MIA for a while now.
Still, I have to give props to myself and all the makeup enthusiasts who do a good job of filling in their eyebrows, curling their eyelashes, and basically doing the bare minimum to look somewhat undead. It won’t. lol!
Lipstick and gloss are my favorite parts of makeup, so it’s strange that I hardly ever put anything on my lips.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about applying base and blush when I have time in the morning because I’ve realized that if I don’t leave by then, I’ll be late. My lip color after drinking tea at work.
But is that what is happening? no! I think I’ll try a short week-long challenge of wearing lip color to work every day from Monday to Friday next week. who’s with me?
Speaking of work, this is my eternal challenge. After picking up Connor from school, I return home and then start doing housework and preparing for the next day. After that, the last thing you want to do is make dinner. I’m starving.
I recently met an acquaintance who is also a working mom. She works in the food industry and knows lots of good tips and tricks for making meals and more. In any case, she has been experiencing this same kind of hunger (aka hunger rage) and has told me that the way to get through it is to eat a little fruit and cheese while preparing dinner. said.
Once you start doing this, it’s amazing! It’s amazing how a small snack can change your life so much.
Last week, I ate some Marin French Cheese breakfast cheese (purchased at Trader Joe’s) with apple slices or grapes while I made dinner. I felt like a human again.
This is a bit of an afterthought, but while we were talking about fruit, I found the best way to get your employees to eat all the fruit you have in your house.
When you get home from the grocery store, before you put the fruit away, wash, dry and prepare all the fruit, hide it all in a clear container and put it in the fridge for immediate consumption.
I realized that by doing this, I could eat every last piece of fruit and not waste it. Try it sometime!
Last but not least, how’s life behind the keyboard? I hope you’re happy, healthy, and that your job treats you kindly.
I’m taking Connor to the first dance performance of the year. Her dance team dances to “Grease Lightning” at a local street fair that celebrates classic cars and nostalgia for a bygone era like the ’90s and early 2000s. Ha!
How are you spending your Saturday?
