Things people can always rely on, like when the sun rises and sets, when internet cats do stupid things, when your chin hair grows naturally in the middle of a meeting, or when MAC’s matte lipstick captures your lips for the rest of your life. There are several.
The feel of the unique MAC matte formula made me pout. There was nothing quite like it.
MAC’s newly reformulated matte lip via MAC Maximal Lipstick eliminates the “stickiness” that makes MAC lipsticks last longer. By the way, I’m wearing the shade Sweet Deal. It’s a neutral pink.
In some ways, this new version is refreshing. It’s so light that you forget you’re wearing it. It’s comfortable, the matte finish is very smooth and beautiful, and it’s a modern take on matte. But it doesn’t last very long. It goes away after one cup of coffee.
I used to apply the OG MAC matte lip in the morning and it stayed on even after lunch. I think when they decided to swap out the old formula for this new version, they decided that women and men and everyone in between wouldn’t mind the wear time restrictions.
I miss wearing lipstick and forget about it for a few hours, but I think some things remain the same, like the desire to recreate a perfectly good lipstick.
