I recently watched a video where makeup artist Mia Connor talks about how she likes to apply just one block of color across the lids of her hooded eyes.
Simple, effective, easy. Of course that totally spoke to me!
This morning I followed her advice and wore one color and added some shadow. Chanel Les 4 Ombre Bysance Quad Parure Crystal.
This limited edition beauty is one of four quads inspired by precious stones and Chanel jewelry. Designed to be dressed up or down, each quad offers his four coordinating shades with a sparkling finish.
I mixed the two darkest shades (taupe and rosy quartz) on the back of my hand to create a customized color, which I then buffed all over my lids. I then applied the taupe as a liner with an angled brush.
To be honest, I still feel like I wear a lot of makeup. But I like the results. It feels polished but not overdone and didn’t require a ton of work.
I would like to continue using Mia’s formula for a while and see where it takes me in my makeup journey.
Happy Thursday, friends! Please go on and on.
