Madewell Perfect Vintage Jean Meyers Wash.jpg

My first day at my new gig is officially on the record. Oh, and before you put on your work pants, here’s a funny story. Before I left the house, I applied a long-lasting matte liquid lipstick (one of my favorites, MAC Powder Kiss Liquid Lip Color, A Little Tamed), but I was in a hurry to leave the house on time. I forgot to check my teeth again. For whimsical lipstick accessories.

Two hours after I woke up in the morning, I jumped into the bathroom and noticed a big blob of lipstick on my front tooth, haha! I used to smile and greet people all morning with lipstick on my teeth. Yeah, I was right in not rushing to do something I knew I should have done the night before.

Anyway, I’m wearing the Madewell work pants I bought for my new job in the field. For those considering it, here are my thoughts on these so far.

Myers wash petit perfect vintage jeans

i am wearing these dark jeans It’s in the photo above. Baby, you’re so amazing. It’s so good that I want another pair.

The important thing is the fit! I like how it’s contoured around my hips and thighs, but it’s also a little loose in those areas, so it doesn’t fit snugly against my skin. Paired with a jacket, I think it looks professional enough for work. Oh, and as the day goes on, your jeans will stretch a little, but not so much that they end up hanging off your butt flesh at the end of the day.

A petite length that hits just above the ankle is perfect.

Shout out to this jacket!

By the way, the jacket is also from Madewell. It’s a checkered Rosedale blazer, it’s on sale meow! Normally $198, the price reduction and extra 40% with code NEWYEAR makes it $89.99. Unfortunately, petite sizes are limited, but if you want to wear a standard or plus, there are still plenty available for now.

It’s a loose fit, but not too big, and I love that it has pockets! It’s also machine washable. This girl doesn’t have the time or patience for dry cleaning, so this is a huge plus in my book.

Harlow wide leg pants

These wide pants They come in so many different lengths and colors. On the first day, I wore the dark gray plaid version.

Hey professionals!

  • Deep flat pocket.
  • The drape of this special material is extremely smooth and moves beautifully with every step.
  • Plaid prints hide a variety of things, including cat hair and accidentally spilled food (hello, my life story).
  • The petite length goes great with small heels.

However, while I like wide legs, I feel that this cut may be just a little too wide. Also, there are a lot of pleats around the front and there is too much fabric, so when you sit down, it feels like your crotch is stretched out. lol! Too much information? probably.

To be honest, it might have been because I was wearing a sweater with balloon sleeves, but it was also a little big, which made the whole thing feel like it was drowning in fabric…I don’t know. I plan to try these pants again with a more fitted top and a slimmer jacket to see if my impressions about the pants change.

Anyway, I really like the people and the work so far. I feel good because I have already exhausted my writing and editing skills. 🙂
