Makeup I Wear For Frequent Sunscreen Reapplication Throughout the Day

Hello, Minimalist Morning Makeup!

I never thought my makeup routine could get any more streamlined, but it’s gotten this far haha! I started omitting the powder and base. Also, I mostly blend with my fingers and only use 2-3 brushes at most.

This happened to me recently because when I went to the dermatologist about a month ago, he told me that I should reapply my sunscreen every 2 hours and recommended that I wear something tinted that acts as a foundation. is.

Well, I stocked up on my tried-and-true favorite, Bliss Block Star Mineral Sunscreen. It has a slight tint and blurs the pores slightly, making your skin look smoother. I also like the semi-matte finish and think it looks a little more professional for work.

Anyway, this is what I’ve been doing.

In the morning, I apply Bliss Block Star, fill in my brows with Rare Beauty’s Brow Pencil, then curl my lashes.

Next, apply Rare Beauty Twist Up Pencil Liner to your upper lash line and dab a bit of Supergoop Cream Shadow in Bronze onto your lids with your fingers. Next, blend the edges of the shadow with a fluffy eyebrush. Finish your eyes with a coat or two of Rare Beauty Mascara on your eyelashes.

Next, dot the Hourglass Color Correcting Concealer under your eyes and blend.

Everything I’ve been into lately

Finish your makeup look with hot pink Westman Atelier Cream Stick on your lips and cheeks. I like to prep my lips first, dab the lipstick on with my fingers, and then blend what’s left on my fingers onto my cheeks.

Oh, and then spray it all over with Urban Decay Setting Spray and you’re done.

During lunch, you will make your first reapplication. Usually it takes him about 4 hours after applying the first sunscreen, but since we’re mostly indoors anyway, I’m okay with that. I also redo my sunscreen, concealer, lip, and cheeks. Then I set the whole thing with a setting spray.

After second reapplication at lunchtime (I put on a little lip gloss for fun)

Then, around 3 p.m., just before I pick up Connor from school, I reapply for a second time.

If you reapply it over and over again, your makeup will look like it’s going to build up, but if you try blowing off the powder, it’ll be fine! I mean, will you get a professional headshot after the final round? Probably not. But it’s enough to get me through the rest of the day.

The Karen of 10 years ago would have been shocked to think of not using base and powder, but this is where I landed and I’m leaning into it lol!

I’d like to know: Have you ever applied sunscreen every two hours? What did you do with your makeup?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen
