Q&A:

What made you decide to pursue a career in the beauty industry?

I’m technically a shop kid, having grown up around or in some sort of salon/shop since I was 5 or 6 years old.

Can you share a memorable moment from your early days in the industry?

I remember when social media didn’t play a big role, but people had a real mission to show who was the best.

How do you define your brand in the beauty space?

I define my brand in the beauty industry as high-end luxury services and solutions for men.

What does it mean to you to be featured in the Hype Hair Magazine x Bronner Bros collaboration?

For me, being featured in this great collaboration is both an opportunity and a future.

So much has changed over the years that we needed new changes to the industry and wanted to create a new narrative about the current state of the industry.

Where do you see your career going five years from now?

I want to be at a completely different level in five years. Its influence grew even more as it educated people around the world. I definitely want to become a millionaire. We also want to develop more products.

Who is your biggest influence in the beauty industry?

One of my biggest influences in the beauty industry is James Bronner. He influences me in many ways, but I honestly admire him for taking an idea that has been a staple of the industry for years and even decades and making it happen.

What is your specialty that distinguishes you from other experts in your field?

The areas of expertise that set me apart include professional services and the skin care/hair care solutions I offer.

How important is diversity and inclusion in the beauty industry and how do you contribute to it?

Leveraging new innovations and solving industry-wide problems is critical. One way of thinking can only yield one result. Changing the way we do business and impacting the world through our industry requires many perspectives and inputs.

Do you have any advice for beauty professionals who want to make a mark for themselves?

My advice to aspiring beauty professionals is to be intentional, be proactive, and invest in yourself and your business. Don’t just learn about hair, learn how to become a legitimate business owner. Be a servant to others and they will value you!

What role does innovation play in your approach to beauty and hair care?

Innovation is necessary and inevitable when thinking about taking a billion-dollar industry to the next level. To grow, we need new services, new products, new technologies, and new techniques.

How do you balance staying true to your style while keeping up with industry trends?

Rather than focusing on the latest trends, I focus on what interests me, and if I can apply some of the trends to my daily life, I do so. Other than that, I stay in my lane and drive fast.

What challenges have you faced in your career so far and how has it shaped your life?

Men’s grooming is a little more taboo, but luckily in places like Atlanta, men are open to additional services beyond a haircut. This has allowed me to grow into a new space that I couldn’t have imagined when I entered the barbering industry. It changed my perspective and honestly changed my life.

What upcoming projects or collaborations can your fans and readers look forward to?

My fans and readers can expect many upcoming projects for my brand, including new product launches, new services/treatments, new locations, rebranding, and collaborations.

What is your favorite beauty hack or product you can’t live without?

My favorite beauty hack so far is using rose water. This is honestly a game changer and has many benefits and can help with a variety of hair and skin needs. Also my Yizsential organic blend. It’s a game changer. Finally, Beard Food Beard Oil by Beard Goalz.

How do you stay motivated and inspired in an ever-evolving industry like beauty?

What keeps me motivated in this field is that I believe this is the game for me, and as I learn more about the game, I stay invested and interested. Not just the service side, but behind the scenes and how the industry actually moves and evolves. In my opinion, that’s where the next level of influence lies.
