Merritt has launched a limited edition set for the holiday season. le gross holiday essentials set ($80). It looked like a beautiful set with easy essentials to create an easy glowing look so I immediately ordered it. I think it’s very beautiful.

Over the years, many people have sent me messages praising this line. I don’t think I’ve ever done a full round-up review of a brand, so today I’m going to take a closer look at the holiday set and give you my thoughts on everything I’ve tried.

of le gloss set There are 5 products that are a mix of full size and mini size items ( Meritbeauty.com). Everything in the set was new to me and I thought it was a good way to sample some of their classic songs. Set includes:

  • Great Skin Instant Glow Serum (Mini) I haven’t had a chance to try it yet as I’m currently trying out other skincare products, but I’ve heard great things about it.
  • Clean lash lengthening tube mascara (Mini) has a nice long and defined look, so I plan on ordering it. full size.
  • brow 1980 volume pomade in neutral is exclusive to this set, it has a translucent look, and I really like the way it shapes my eyebrows.I’m interested and would like to try one of these colored options.
  • signature lip sheer lip liner in bespoke is a new product limited to this set. It has a very interesting formula to me. Sheer and shiny, yet offering minimalist contours and a hint of color. On me, it is almost a taupe brownish shade with just a hint of pink.
  • solo shadow scene eye color in glacé For set only. This is the star product of this set in my opinion and I really hope they make this shade and formula permanent. It has a little more glide than the Solo Eyeshadow Matte, which makes the formula easier to blend. It still sets very quickly, so it’s important to blend or pat it quickly. Colors are difficult to detect with a camera, but they actually come out quite nicely. That being said, I think if you have dry eyelids, this may accentuate fine lines.

How it was worn:

I’ve tried quite a few things from Merit so far. I think there are many passionate fans. Not all of them have worked for me, but I think there are some sure-fire staples for minimalists looking for a hassle-free beauty routine. Here are some quick thoughts on what I’ve tried. I ordered almost everything from Sephora, but you can also order from the Merit website.

of Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick ($38) is a twist-up style concealer and foundation in one. I like the concept and portability. Provides medium coverage. As a foundation, I think it’s a bit too pigmented and thick to apply all over, but it seems designed as a touch-up product. I’m wearing either sand or camel and the colors match really well. I think this is a solid product, but I can’t reach for it often.

flash balm cream blush ($30 each for full size, also available in sizes) limited mini) is the blush that seems to be most loved by readers. Unfortunately, I found it too dewy for my skin type and most of the colors I tried didn’t look very good on my skin tone. The darker colors give a soft flush of color on the stain so they show up, but the neutral and baby pink tones disappear on my skin once blended. It doesn’t have any staying power at all for my skin type.

Solo Shadow Cream to Powder Soft Matte Eyeshadow ($24) is pure love to me. However, I will say that I have only tried bright colors. I love its tone, staying power and how it looks as a subtle contour. It looks a little more sophisticated without much effort. Feedback from many people is divided. Those who didn’t like these found them too matte and drying, making them difficult to blend and work with. It’s very matte and sets quickly, so it’s important to blend quickly. The Brush No.2 The ones created for this formula are very good.

signature lip lightweight lipstick ($26) is also a super popular product, but it didn’t work for me. I think the color is beautiful, but I didn’t like the pigment (too sheer) and the texture was off. These had smooth coverage and a natural color effect, but the texture felt thick and waxy. It didn’t feel very nice on my lips, it almost dried out and I had to wipe it off right away.

Shade Slick Gelee Sheer Tint Lip Oil ($24) is pure love to me. I think these are unique as an oil formula because they are totally sheer tinted oils and don’t have an oily feel at all. It’s almost like a water tint and it packs enough color to make your lips look really beautiful. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have very long lasting power, but I like the look and feel of it so I don’t mind reapplying it.

Overall, some beautiful stuff for a natural, hassle-free look. I love natural makeup, but I haven’t found any products from this line that I can’t live without. I’m more drawn to Westman Atelier for natural-looking makeup with transparent color effects. That being said, I had fun testing and playing around with the products I purchased at Sephora. I love that the makeup line is so edited and streamlined. It will make exploring a little easier!
