Beautylookbook May Favorites Chanel Caudalie Dior.jpg

June has begun! I can’t believe a month has already passed. Today I’ve put together a list of things I tested in May.

Base Product

May Beauty Favorites

Natasha Denona High Glam Powder Foundation

This month there were some new bases that I really liked. Natasha Denona High Glam Concealer And she’s new High Gram Powder Foundation It’s a great formula. The packaging is beautifully designed with a compartment for the puff. I use the concealer in shades N5 to N9 depending on how bright or concealing I want to be. Her Hy-Glam powder foundation is available in a few shades, but right now I like NP7 or Y5-7. It’s a really nice blurring powder that looks like skin, but also has great coverage. Even though it’s a powder foundation, I like to use it as a setting powder.

Fenty Soft Lit Luminous Foundation

Fenty has added new skin care products and I really love them Softlit Luminous Foundation In Shade 260 (see it in action) hereIt has medium to full coverage. Foundation Brush 145 This is a must-have item for smooth, even application (you can also use a brush or sponge). If you want a color closer to your skin tone, Ease Drop Blurring Skin Tint It’s really good especially for summer. It’s light but has a lot of coverage. I use skin tint number 9 or 10.

MAKEUP BY MARIO Soft Sculpt Bronzing Shaping Serum

Makeup by Mario is now available Soft Sculpt Bronzing Shaping Serum After trying it a few times, I’ve figured out how I use it best. As a liquid bronzer over foundation, I found it to be a little too sheer, but it does give a very natural tanned glow to the skin. I like to mix it into my foundation to add warmth, or use it as a base to warm and tan the skin. It’s like self-tanning drops for the face. It’s on the emollient side, so I’m not sure if it would suit people with oily skin (I think it’s too moisturizing). New Brush on both ends It was launched for this product and is suitable for use with liquids.

To add warmth with a more traditional bronzer, Soft Sculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer It’s easier to use and blend.

I really like the new look Bronzing Serumbut I’m not sure I’m all that into it. I like the style of packaging: it has a pump that dispenses the product, but when you twist the lid it also reveals a sponge-tip applicator. Drunk Elephant D-Bronze Drop Makeup By Mario, however, is a little thicker and has a more emollient finish. I’ve added some swatches to compare the undertones.

All in all it’s a hit or miss for me. I’m still a bit undecided.

New SPF formula

The origins of sunscreen, Peter Thomas Roth, Caudalie, Kosas

I’ve been trying out some new sunscreens and I really like them Origins Ginging SPF 30 Daily Moisturizer Sunscreen I love the texture and viscosity. It’s white, but it doesn’t leave a white cast, and I love how moisturizing it is. It’s not too thick, not too oily, it’s moisturizing, and it doesn’t pill.

Peter Thomas Roth is Water Drench Hyaluronic Acid Cloud Sheer Tint Moisturizer SPF 45. I love it as a moisturizer with SPF. It’s beige in color, but it’s so sheer that it looks transparent when blended on the skin. However, a lot of white sunscreens end up leaving a white look even when blended well, so it’s nice to have a tinted option. I like to wear it under foundation. It’s just not strong enough in coverage or pigment to be used as a tinted moisturizer.

Caudalie is a US company. Vinosun Protect Brightening Daily Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 This is one of the first mineral sunscreens I’ve really liked. It’s tinted but so light that it leaves a slight white residue. I love how it blends well without clinging to the skin and has a semi-matte finish that sits well on the skin.

Kosas Dream Beam It’s a formula that you’ll want to keep loving forever. SPF40, new colors Light of the sun Deeper tone than the original Dream BeamColor-wise, I’d say it’s somewhere between those two shades, but even if there were more color options, I just don’t like the formula. It’s thick, doesn’t blend well, and makes you want to wash it off immediately after application. If you want a sunscreen that gives you a glow, Supergoop! Glow Screen It’s a million times better.

eye make up

Bobbi Brown Longwear Cream Shadow Stick

I’ve been on the hunt for new eyeshadow palettes lately, but I always end up going back to the usual staples like Born This Way by Too Faced, Patrick Tha Major Dimensions, and everything by Natasha Denona. I loved Bobbi Brown’s new colors. Long-wear cream shadow I really love Bronze as it’s an iridescent bronze shade. Below are swatches of the shades I love for summer. Bronze and Golden Light are new shades.

Coral Crush Lips + Cheeks

Summer coral makeup: Dior, Armani, NARS

I love coral and peach tones and am so excited about all the colors that are coming out this season! Dior Poppy Coral The tones are orange/coral, perfect for summer. demo Rosy Glow Blush, Addict Lip Maximizer, Addict Lip Glow, Lip Glow Oil Take action here I will be posting swatches and a review soon.

of Armani Luminous Silk Cheek Tint is my favorite. There are two peach tones: 50.5 Rosy Peach and 31 Vivid Coral. I think they match my skin very well and are easy to blend. Here’s a demo of Rosy Peach here.

NARS is Blushing To Talc-free formulaI think Orgasm and Orgasm X have been cult favorites for years, but I Orgasm Edge It has the same peach undertone but without the sparkle. here.

Coral Crush Nails

Coral nail polish perfect for summer OPI, Hermes, Olive, June

For summer, I love a light peachy-coral nail polish. OPI Infinite Shine in I am working hard It’s the perfect soft peach color Megawatt Hot It’s a brighter, deeper coral. Both have an opaque, glossy finish.

Hermes presents the best orange tones for summer. I really love them. Orange Poppy For a super bright electric orange-red they Orange Tonic It blooms in early spring and is similar but more orange in colour.

For a more affordable option, I’m crazy about Olive and June, especially their quick dry formula. Cape and Picante.

Lip serum

Chanel Hydra Beauty Lip Serum

I love Chanel skincare and lipcare so I was super excited to try their new Hydra Beauty Micro Lip Serum. Luir Camellia Nail Oil (I love this one). The Hydra Beauty Micro Lip Serum contains tiny micro droplets, just like all serums in the Hydra Beauty line. I had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. The formula is too thin and feels almost watery. It absorbs well and creates a super thin layer of moisture, but for me it’s not enough to hydrate my lips and they still feel dehydrated after application.

perfume

Favorite perfumes for May: Parfums de Marly Valaya, Oue Saint Barth, Chanel Exclusive Gardenia Body Oil

I’ll do a perfume roundup soon, but this month there are three perfumes that I really like, and I also purchased another one. Parfum de Marly in Valaya It’s a floral musk perfect for the hot summer. I’ve been thinking about this scent ever since I bought the sample set and have decided that it’s perfect for me. I think this will be my signature fragrance this year. Notes of Bergamot, Mandarin, White Peach, Orange Flower, Nymphea, Vetiver, Akigalawood and Ambrofix Musk.

Saint-Barthélemy It has one of the best tropical scents and I use it in my body wash and scrub. Hair & Body Mist It’s not too sweet or strong, just a really pleasant light fruity tropical scent.

Finally, Chanel launched New body oil I’ve been trying out a few scents from the Chanel Les Exclusifs perfume range. It’s more expensive than the other body oils in the Chanel range, at $350 a bottle. I shared a little about it on my story and was overwhelmed with the responses and questions. I had no idea so many people were fans of Les Exclusifs. I own the Les Exclusifs perfume and I love it. beigeI’ve always had an eye for Gardenia and 1957, my signature Chanel scents. Les Hauts de Chanel line up.

The Chanel beauty team gifted me Les Exclusives de Chanel Body Oil in Gardenia It’s the best. I’ve tried layering it with a beige perfume and it’s the most luxurious combination I’ve ever tried. For me, the scent lasts all day but is not as strong as the perfume.

If you like the special scents from the Les Exclusifs line, this body oil is definitely worth the money. 1957, beige, Gardenia and Coromandel.
