When I was designing two earring charms that I recently made, I had Huggies make them as well. There are two reasons why I ended up customizing it. One, it’s hard to find a retailer that discloses the quality of the smaller diamonds (the type of Huggies I have), and two, it’s hard to find smaller sized offset diamonds on his Huggies. That means it was difficult. It’s the right diameter for my first leaf (I did this when I was very small, so it’s lower on the leaf than standard).
To save a little money, I ended up doing double sided hugs so I could simply flip them over for a different look. One side features small round diamonds in a prong setting, while the other side features offset baguette diamonds for a more geometric and eye-catching look. The huggies and settings are all 14k yellow gold and match the threadless ends of the other earrings.
These were designed by Lauryn Volvar. earth’s treasure trove, all of the diamonds were also individually selected. The latter will help ensure that you get the desired results in the end. I know this because the Diamond Pave Huggies I have have very little sparkle. Therefore, I wanted to go to a source I could trust when it came to quality.
I love wearing the Huggies on their own or with the earring charms I have, and have been wearing them with almost every first robe since they were completed. Super comfortable, easy to flip, and timeless. I can’t wait to update my year stack with these styles in February.
