i did it! After keeping my nails bare for about a month, I decided to paint my nails! Compared to what I usually have, they are still very short and the ring finger is still a struggle, so the shape is slightly different, but I painted them. That in itself was a huge accomplishment considering I still have a cold.

Today’s polish is from Dior’s fall “Plan de Paris” collection (yes, it’s technically still fall!) and it’s a gorgeous warm brick called “Saint Honoré” with a hint of golden glitter. The color is red. This baby actually turned opaque in one coat, but as always you need to do two coats to keep it consistent. I wanted to hand-paint some gold French tips using Cutex’s ‘Pop the Prosecco’* to dress them up a bit and make my nails look longer, but my hands were shaking and the consistency of the nail polish was too thick. The degrees were much more fluid than mine. As I expected, the amount of polish that fell off the brush was more than I expected! Let’s see how long you can hold up before removing your nail polish!

It’s December next Monday, so I’m actually hoping to do some holiday-themed manicures to get in the mood. Does it feel like Christmas already? I don’t know…the weather has been very mild and it feels like November has only just begun. I haven’t had negative temperatures yet and I’ve had to scrape ice off my car, so maybe that’s why I don’t feel like Christmas. Again, I’m not complaining about the milder weather or having to get in the car a little earlier than usual.

Happy Monday, check it out Renee and Trish’s This week we will be posting a blog about the last week of fall manicures!
