Happy New Year everyone! Hooray! This year, especially the second half, seemed to fly by. It felt like getting ready to go to Paris, then going to Paris, then recovering from Paris, and then the rush of Christmas vacation at work that I was just starting to seize. until now. Thankfully, January tends to be a good time to do all of these things, and clients are generally pretty understanding about delays and such. January’s theme is “Anything Goes,” so the plan for the rest of the month is to focus on this year’s new Pantone color: Peach Fuzz. For me, hand color in particular is typically awful, but I’m going to find a way to make it work. It’s like a chef is given a strange ingredient to see how “creative” they can get.
The OPI Big Zodiac Energy collection was one of my favorites of 2023 as I found myself soaking in this collection quite a bit in both my nail art and swatches. The shade name “Feelin’ Libra-ted” felt appropriate for the start of a new calendar year. One of my goals is to make time for nail art each week, even though I know I haven’t done it in weeks. Even if it was quick and easy. I missed more Mani Mondays than I would have liked because my mental state wasn’t very good last year, but I hope I’m in a better place this year.
