This week is the first week where I have a little extra time and space to catch up on work. I took today off after working Sunday (normally my day off) for the scariest retail event of all time: “Inventory”! I decided to start at 8am and power through, and was almost finished around 12pm. The other manager and I stayed until 2pm as we were still looking into some discrepancies, but we were able to sort them out and overall the inventory was almost perfect .
Last week was so busy that I didn’t have time to prepare my Halloween manicure in advance. Even though I had other plans, I broke my pinky nail just before I sat down to paint. I have to wait until my nails grow out a bit before I try what I was planning to do today. I still have Halloween themed nails, but they’re simpler than I expected.
First of all, I don’t like this shine. It was very fluid and even when lathered with a sponge, the glitter was not uniform and it was difficult to make it even. It was very concentrated when I used the sponge, which I didn’t want as much, or it was very sparse when I used just the brush. As my husband commented, this manicure “looks like an afterthought” as opposed to what I had in mind, but oh well.
