It’s our second snowy day in Vancouver. When I woke up in the morning, there was 20 cm of snow and more snow was falling. My favorite thing about snowy days is how quiet they are. No one is going anywhere and the sounds are muffled. It’s still bright outside at night, and the whiteness of the snow is reflected, making it very romantic. I may be looking at this through rose-colored glasses because I had yesterday and today off so I didn’t have to struggle to get to work.
I’m actually going to Pixi Beauty’s first beauty event of the year this afternoon! I couldn’t make the last flight due to work, so I’m looking forward to taking a slow transit ride as my car is still completely covered in snow! It’s a preview of spring, so it’s kind of crazy to think he’s already thinking about spring when it’s still mid-January and there’s snow everywhere. I think it will be a good opportunity and I am looking forward to seeing the products!

In keeping with this month’s peach fuzz nail theme, I thought OPI’s ‘The Future is You’ swatch from the Power of Hue collection was perfect, and was actually a good shade for nail art last year. While not the most flattering on my skin tone per se, this creamsicle-colored orange has been used in my collection and actually has a bit of visible shimmer in the bottle, which makes this shade unique. I’m making it a thing.
