After two weeks off, my first week back at work was uneventful. I was grateful for this. Because no one likes feeling overwhelmed and rushed on their first day back at work. I’m always reminded of an episode of The Office. It’s a scene where Michael has just come back from Jamaica and he’s got steel drums and beads in his hair. He was completely relaxed and smiling, and the first thing the employee said to him was, “My bonus check was less than promised.” Within hours, Michael’s vacation energy was drained from him. Something like this has happened to me in the past, but luckily it didn’t happen on Monday and, if anything, I was mostly left alone, except for a few technical questions. It was left behind.

I spent my two-week vacation at home, but I didn’t have time to blog or do any beauty tidying. I keep saying I’m going back to the same blogging schedule as before, but I don’t think I’ll be able to wear full makeup for posts as easily as I used to anymore. I wish I was just as efficient, but I think the content has definitely changed in a more video-focused way, which I unfortunately don’t necessarily enjoy creating. I’m so old school!

This week on CBBxManiMonday, morgan taylor The “Lace is Best” collection once again. I really liked all the shades last week, so I chose this shimmery pastel gradient to remind me of the arrival of spring. I took out my trusty makeup sponge and applied some glitter polish to blend everything together.
