Ok, so my excuse for being late with posting my nails this week is because this weekend was my birthday! I turned 41 yesterday and it was so much fun! I feel so much better about being 41 than I did about being 40. Turning 40 was a bit awkward and scary but this time, even though my actual birthday was alone, I was looking forward to having time to celebrate. It was so nice to have my birthday completely on my own terms. I could wake up whenever I wanted, leave the house whenever I wanted, take a nap whenever I wanted, eat dinner whenever I wanted. It was awesome!

In the end, I didn’t get my birthday nails done, but I did get them painted this stunning bright red that you’d think would have been painted for Canada Day, but honestly, I hadn’t even thought about that connection. For me, I just wanted nails that pop, and this creamy red from Canadian company Trust Fund Beauty seemed like the perfect fit.
