I love you, NARS Kalahari!

Hi! I have various medical appointments today, so I’m in and out of my home office. Fun — not really (laughs)! I just got back from the dentist and I’m happy to say that there were no cavities. Also, I didn’t cry during my stay, which is a Christmas miracle for me. Anyone. Re: this post. I made this a while ago and it features one of my favorite eyeshadows of his, Kalahari by NARS. I love this duo and wear them often. If you have a chance to pick it up, please do! Please take a good rest on Thursday. Let’s meet again.

It is often said that if you love something, let it go. If you love butterflies or toucans, I think that’s obvious, but when it comes to makeup, I say that if you love something, you should always talk about it. That’s why I’ve been raving about NARS Kalahari for years!

Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo is perfect for lightly highlighting your eyelids. One side is a shimmering rosy bronze and the other side is a shimmering taupe. It stands to reason that these two colors of his can be found in almost every line, but here’s the kicker. NARS has found a way to avoid all of the typically problematic side effects. Many sparkling shadows fall.

For example, the Kalahari Desert is reflective, but there is no frost, so thin lines are not a problem. When blended onto the skin, it leaves behind a sweet, bronzed glow. It’s like, “J. Lo runs errands in a velor tracksuit.” It’s casual, but it stands out. (This is a good thing in my book.)

One of my favorite ways to wear it is:
Blend the two shades together with a domed shadow brush and apply from the lash line to the crease (or just above the crease if you have hidden eyes like me). If you want more color depth, please apply multiple coats. However, the powder is very delicate and fine so the eyeshadow doesn’t look heavy.

Then, wet the same brush and apply more of the mixture to the moving part of the eyelid, that is, the “blinking” part of the eye. Leave it for a few minutes until it dries and apply it to the rest of your face. Once you’re almost to the end (I usually wait until I’m done with almost everything, including blush and lipstick), take a clean, tapered blending brush and gently move it back and forth along the crease and outer corners. blend.

If you want, you can also line your lashes and waterline with chocolate brown eyeliner. I did that with these photos. I liked the subtle contrast of tones, so I applied a cooler taupe liner (Mushroom by Urban Decay) on my lower lash line.
